INTRODUCTIONAIJ Project Cost Consultants is a 100% Namibian owned and 75% previously disasdvantaged company established in November 2009 by Americo De Almeida, Isak Nahum and Jorik Botha.
We aim to be the first people clients come to when investing in the built and natural environment. As a majority black-owned company, our goal is to work with clients through every stage of the development process, providing managed solutions for clients investing in infrastructure, property and construction.
Our core services are cost, program and project management, complemented by a wide range of specialist consultancy capabilities including quantity surveying; engineering cost management; specification consulting; facilities management; value and risk management; and sustainability management.
In order to adhere to our social responsibility of skills transferring and education, we are also involved in the provision of financial support to talented students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds whose dreams are to join the QS profession as well as providing training to those who need it to enhance their professional skills.

management projects.
He has gained extensive experience in projects
ranging from infrastructure, oil and gas, Civil

building developments. Meticulous in nature,
Jorik is skilled in minimizing the costs of a
project and enhancing value for money, while
still maintaining high standards of quality.

Chido Dondo – Quantity Surveyor
After completing her Honours Degree in
Quantity Surveying from the National Uni-
versityofScienceandTechnology(NUST)
inZimbabwe,ChidoachievedherMasterof
PhilosophyinConstructionEconomicsand
ManagementfromtheUniversityofCape
Town(UCT)in2011.
Chido brings with her a blend of great com-
munication and analytical skills honed during
her time working as an assistant Quantity
Surveyor for a building contractor in Cape
TownandasatutorfortheDepartmentof
Construction,EconomicsandManagement
attheUniversityofCapeTown.
She has an interest in charity work and is a
keen traveller.
Carel Van Wyk – Quantity Surveyor
(RegisteredQuantitySurveyor)
Carel is a graduate of the University of
Potchestroom (NorthWest). He brings with
him a wealth of work experience gained over
a 30 year period.
Carel is a respected Quantity Surveying pro-
fessional and is a member of Institute of Na-
mibian Quantity Surveyors, Namibian Council
for Architects and Quantity Surveyors and is
also a member of the Qualifications Sub Com-
mittee of Namibian Council for Architects and
Quantity Surveyors.
He has an impeccable work ethic that often
sees him putting in extra hours into his proj-
ects and going the extra mile for clients.
His passion includes reading, camping and ca-
nine oriented welfare work.
Vavarirai Tagarira – Quantity Surveyor

Over the years, he has gained practical
experience of all facets within Construction,

SafetyHealthandEnvironmentalSystems
through participation in different types of
projects that include civil, industrial, com-
mercial and residential developments.

Stanley Mwashekele – Quantity Surveyor
StanleyholdsaBTechinQuantitySurveying
from the University of Johannesburg. He
has seven years of work experience in
quantity estimation, preparation of interim
payment certificates / progress bills and their
certification, verification of subcontractor
submitted bills, preparation / certification
of variation orders, preparation of enquiries
and their subsequent reviewing for subletting
works and cost controlling on-going projects
with different companies at different Mega
Civil / Building & Infrastructure projects.
Stanley possesses good communication and
problem solving skills which enabled him to
maintain good relations with contractors/
developers. He has managed a number of
projects and has the required skills and
experience to be a real asset at AIJ.
Ephraim Takaza – Quantity Surveyor
Ephraim completed his Bachelor of Science
(Hons) Degree in Quantity Surveying at the
NationalUniversityofScienceandTechnology.
He has overall working experience of six years
working experience working for construction
companies and Quantity Surveying firms. He
is a confident, determined and results oriented
person who has managed a large number of
projects.
He has a great passion for reading, soccer and
chess.
Langton Nthala – Quantity Surveyor
Langton completed his BSc Honors in Quan-
tity Surveying from the National University
ofScienceandTechnologyinZimbabwe.His
currently perusing his Masters of Science in
Project Management from the University of
CapeTownandaPMPcertification fromthe
ProjectManagementInstitute.
He joined AIJ in 2013 from Stefanutti Stocks
Botswana, were he worked as a Quantity Sur-
veyor in civil, commercial, government and
private development. Langton has experience
in the fields of Quantity surveying, Project
Management and Infrastructural develop-
ment. Langton is a good communicator and
strategist.
His interest are Travelling and learning new
cultures , social networking and anthropology.

Quantity Surveying.
Taurai is a goal-oriented individual holding
a number of academic achievement awards
and has held a number of leadership roles
includingbeingatthehelmofCPUT’sAsso-
ciationforInternationalStudents(AIS).
InadditionTauraiplayedahugerole inthe
TutoringandMentoringprogramatCPUT’s
Department of Built Environment which
makes his expertise resourceful in the com-
pany’smentorshipprogram.
Sylvester Mieze - Quantity Surveyor in
training
Sylvester is currently pursuing his National
Diploma in Property Valuation and Estate
ManagementatthePolytechnicofNamibia.
He also holds a Microsoft Profession
Certificate(MPC). He has various work
experience that has moulded him and gave
him the ability to work under almost any
condition.
Sylvesterenhancesourcompany’scapacity
in other areas apart from Quantity Surveying,
which is nevertheless crucial towards our
broadened goal of client satisfaction.
His contribution has been invaluable to
our company and has enhanced customer
satisfaction. Soccer is his favourite sport and
he has been actively involved with various
local teams as a player.
Margaretha (Grietji) Rossouw Quantity Surveyor - PrQS
Margaretha (Grietjie) is a Namibian who
graduatedattheUniversityoftheFreeState,
South Africa. She has been working in the field
of quantity surveying, project management
and construction since 1993 and is a Profes-
sional Quantity Surveyor for the past 8 years.
She is registered with the South African Coun-
cil for the Quantity Surveying Profession as a
PrQS and is a professional member with the
Association of South African Quantity Survey-
ors(PMAQS).
Margaretha has extensive experience in the
Construction Industry and has managed major
projectswhile serving as anOfficeManager
and Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor at
her previous employment in South Africa.
She also has a passion for mentoring student
and quantity surveyors in training.

Domingos is working towards com-

joined the company immediately af-
ter completing his B-tech in Quantity
Surveying.
Domingos is a goal-oriented indi-

achievement awards and has held a
number of leadership roles. Domin-
go has a passion for motorsports and

Simbarashe completed his Honours
in Quantity Surveying in 2013 from
the National University of Science

Tamuka completed his National Di-

Abed Erastus - Corporate Communications
Abed has over 10 years experience
in the marketing, advertising and
branding industry.
A qualified copywriter, he has
workedonsomeofNamibia’s
leading brands and managed a
multitude of sucessful marketing
campaigns. Abed joined AIJ in 2013
to help revamp its branding and
corporate image.
His hobbies include reading, hunting
and rugby.
Vistorina Amwele-OfficeAdministrator
Via completed her National
certificate in accounting and finance
at the Polytechnic of Namibia and is
currently busy pursuing her diploma
and degree in the similar respect.
She has worked as an executive
assistant/project administrator at
Naltech Pty Ltd. Her experience
with diverse clients and exposure
to project level administration is a
useful tool. Vistorina is our Office
Administrator.
Daniel Tichagwa - Systems Administrator
Daniel holds a Professional Diploma
(Ass.Degree)ine-Technology
Computing from the National
InstituteofInformationTechnology
(NIIT).
He has seven years working
experience, six of which were spent
working in the United Nations
environment.Thisexperiencehas
allowed him to work in diverse
environments and with various task
loads.
Erastus Erastus - Head: Administration
Erastus graduated from the
Polytechnic of Namibia with a
Bachelors of Communication in
degree in2014. After working in
the financial services industry for 6
years, first as a senior administrator
and then a consultant, he joins AIJ
Project Cost Consultants as Head of
administration.
Erastusbringsawealthofexperience
from the corporate sector and is also
currently pursuing a degree in Human
Resource management from the
Namibia University of Technology.
Erastus joins our administration
team and will be tasked with running
day to day operations.

As a civil engineer, Daniel
Blöchle has a relevant
technical background in
construction. Through
funded education at the
Karlsruhe Institute of
Technology (KIT) in facility
management, he learned
all theoretical principles
of the fields of hospital
management and PPP.
During his four-year work
as a research fellow at
KIT, Daniel Blöchle was
responsible for various
projects as a project leader
and acting project leader. In
the field of hospital management, he has been responsible for the OPIK
‘optimisationandanalysisofprocessesinhospitals’and‘benchmarking
inhospitals’projectssince2009.
Thereafter, aspart of his two-year researchproject, hewas aproject
leader responsible for the ‘introduction of floor-space management
at Klinikum Region Hannover GmbH’. He led this project from its
conception stage, through the introduction ofCAFM softwarewith a
building model, to the implementation of the floor-space management.
In the field of PPP, Daniel Blöchle was the deputy head of the ‘examination
of the involvement of medium-sized companies in PPP projects in Baden-
Wuerttemberg’andheadofthe‘officeoftheworkinggroupofhospitals
of the federal PPP network of excellence of the German state and
Länder’.Aspartofaone-yearresearchprojectwithForschungszentrum
Karlsruhe(formerlyKernforschungszentrum),hewastheprojectleader
responsible for drawing up a maintenance costs budget, optimising
maintenance processes and evaluating the responsibility of the operator.
