Modbus RTU and TCP communication
Together with the Modbus instructions the S7-1200 can communicate as a Modbus master or slave with devices which support the Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP protocols.
The Modbus instructions can be used to communicate with multiple devices through either the CM 1241 RS232 or the CM 1241 RS485 serial communication modules for Modbus RTU, or using the built-in Ethernet port for Modbus TCP (libraries in SP1).

Data Logging
For storing run-time data values in continuous log files
DataLog instructions are used in the user program to create the data log files.
The data log files are stored in CPU flash memory (load memory) and the data is organized in standard CSV format.*configurable SD memory card storage for data beyond load memory.
It is possible to copy the data log files from the CPU memory using the built-in Web server or by removing the memory card and inserting it into a standard SD (Secure Digital) slot on a PC.

A Standard Web page is included that can be accessed from a PC using any Web browser.
