OFFICE CONTINUES TO GROW CHANCE MITCHELL joined the Dunn
team in February and will be serving Dunn clients in the Tennessee Valley Area as Industrial Services Mgr. Chance is a University of North Alabama graduate and
also has a Masters degree in Engineering from UAB. Before joining Dunn, Chance spent eight years in industrial contracting, working for the family business and two years working with a large mechanical contractor. BLAKE SKETO joined the Dunn team this month and will be serving clients as a Project Manager/Estimator in the Tennessee Valley Area. Blake is a native of Huntsville where he received an Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting at J.F. Drake Technical College before getting a Bachelor of Science in Building Science from Auburn University with a minor in Business Administration. TINA WHITTINGTON has recently relocated from Dunn’s Saraland Office to
Athens as Project Manager Assistant/Office Manager for our Tennessee Valley Area. Tina has been with Dunn for over four years and brings broad experience to supporting
business development, estimating and project management. Tina is currently working on a Bachelor’s of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi.
DUNN BUILDING COMPANY RAISES $10,300 FOR THE FIREHOUSE SHELTER AT ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Dunn hosted it’s annual Good Friday Golf Tournament on March 30th at Highland Golf Course in support of Firehouse Shelter. Luke Newell, Central Area Manager, who also serves on Firehouse’s Junior Board of Directors, presented the Shelter’s Housing Coordinator, Val Green with this year’s check. Firehouse ministries and The Firehouse Shelter serve more homeless men than any agency in the state of Alabama. Since we started our tournament, we have raised $79,000 total—and it’s a genuine honor to support them. DUNN BUILDING COMPANY RECEIVES 2018 BUILDING OF THE YEAR AWARD AT THE 49TH ANNUAL MBCEA CONFERENCE
Dunn Building Company's Jeff Dixon and Don Jackson attended the 49th Annual MBCEA (Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association) Conference & MBMA Spring Meeting in San Antonio on May 2-4, 2018. Dunn was honored to receive the 2018 MBCEA Building of the Year Award at this years conference for the Hoover Sportsplex project also known as The Finley Center.
This project is also the recipient of MESCO Building Solutions 2017 Building of the Year Award & Photo Contest Winner. The Hoover Met Complex employs IMP in both its roof and wall system. The primary structure features reverse tapered columns and slanted walls and offers an expansive 214’ clear span making it suitable for a variety of indoor sporting events. The facility includes a suspended running track, suspended catwalks and clear story for natural light.

DUNN BUILDING COMPANY TO BUILD JAMES HARDIE NEW PRATTVILLE PLANT
Prattville, is one of Alabama’s true up-and-coming towns, and we’re honored to be part of their continued growth. We
just learned that Dunn was selected to construct James Hardie Building Products’ 900,000 sf facility there. We’ll be
working with Casey Industrial — who’ll provide construction management and mechanical services — and our own
Mike Bailey is the PM. The Prattville facility will manufacture Hardie Board and Hardie Plank products.

DUNN’S STEPHANIE O’MELIA TO SERVE AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF ALABAMA (CEFA)
Dunn has been involved with the Construction Education Foundation of Alabama (CEFA) for about ten years. In that time we have hired graduates of the Carpentry program as well as sent current employees for training in blueprint reading, concrete placement, construction math, as well as other classes. During this time Dunn’s Safety/HR Director, Stephanie O’Melia, has been on the Carpentry committee and the Board of Directors most recently servicing as Treasurer in 2017-2018. In July Stephanie will be taking over as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the next fiscal year. Training demands and requirements have been changing over the last few years and the Craft Training Board has awarded CEFA several grants that they have used to create more training opportunities for jobseekers as well as current employees of companies that use their services. CEFA has written grants proposals for electrical, carpentry, pipefitting, and equipment operator training for the next year. They also do training in HVAC, sheetmetal, and
welding.

Kevin Hale was recently promoted from Field Engineer to Superintendent. Kevin started working for Dunn in 2016 where he produced exception-ally accurate layout and has advanced our use of layout technology. Kevin will be an excellent addition to our Superintendent pool.

Craig Fowler will move from Quality Manager to Project Manager/Estimator report-ing to Luke Newell in our Central Area office. Craig joined the Dunn team in 2014. Craig has a Bachelor of Science in Building Science from the University of Auburn.
SETH COLLINS QUALITY DIRECTOR
Seth has been reassigned to become our Quality Director. As Quality Director, Seth
will be responsible for successfully executing all our work, and as a result will work closely with all of our Superintendents on a daily basis in the field. Seth will maintain and improve our Quality Management System. Seth has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Management from The University of Alabama.

RICKY BEENE Industrial Services Foreman-Tennessee Valley Area
Ricky has been promoted from Carpenter to Industrial Services Foreman for the Tennessee
Valley Area. Ricky has worked with Dunn for a number of years and has almost thirty years of construction experience, much of it in the industrial mills of the Tennessee Valley. Ricky is a certified crane operator and a certified welder. Ricky will
be working closely with Chance Mitchell to serve our clients in the Tennessee Valley.

ABC Alabama Safe Day Awards Banquet was held June 7th at the Birmingham Sheraton. Dunn received the GOLD STEP Award and Safest in the Industry GOLD Award at the banquet this year. ABC North Alabama Safe Day Awards Ceremony was held on May 11th. Dunn received the GOLD STEP Award from North Alabama Chapter this year. AGC Alabama—Mobile Section Safety Awards luncheon was held on March 21st at The Country Club of Mobile. Dunn received the Construction Excellence Safety Award.
