3. UseCRACKMON224Rtomeasure crack width. Follow instructions supplied with the crack-width comparator.
4. Transfer crack-width measurement to table below.
5. Documentenvironmentaldata in table to assist with crack-movementforensicanalysisovertime.
6. For each new measurement event,transfercrackwidthfromtabletograph.Drawa small circle at the X-Y intersectionoftheEventandCrack Width. For dry soil conditions, draw an open circle. For damp or wet soil, drawasolid-filledcircle.
7. Connect adjacent dots (circles)onTrendChartwithastraightlinetovisualizecracktrendsovertime.NotethattheY-axisscaleisnonlinear,withveryfineresolutionforsmall cracks and increasingly coarse resolution for larger cracks.
8. Observepatternsrelatingcrack-width changes to variationsintemperature,humidity, freeze-thaw cycles, soil moisture, and seismic activity.Thisinformationassists structural forensics and remedies.
