Last Monday and Thursday night, our Stage 3 dance group performed at the Glasshouse as a part of the Lower North Coast Dance Festival. After many weeks of rehearsals, the girls performed beautifully on both nights and represented our school fantastically. Thank you to Luke Dockrill who volunteered his time to choreograph our item. It was a wonderful experience for all.
Musica Viva ‘Wyniss’ will be at CHPS this Friday 28th June. Remember to get your note and payment ASAP in so you don’t miss this entertaining show.

Last week 3/4D were learning about road safety by designing and testing their own vehicles. Eggs were used as passengers to see if their designs held up to a crash test.
CREATIVE ARTS AND WRITING FESTIVAL
Have you created an amazing artwork this year or have you written a great story? Then you should enter this year’s Crescent Head Public School P& C Creative Arts and Writers’ festival. There are cool prizes up for grabs for each age group:
• Kindergarten • Year 1-2 • Year 3-4 • Year 5-6.
You will need to bring your work to school by this Friday 28th June with your name, age and class. No more than two art entries per student and one creative writing entry on an A4 page.
The Crescent Head Public School P&C will be hosting the Creative Arts and Writing Festival on Friday 5th July (last day of school) in conjunction with NAIDOC Day. Students will be able to showcase their amazing art and writing pieces to their family and the school community. The winners will be presented with their awards and prizes at the assembly at 2pm that day. This festival is an opportunity for the P&C to give back to our school community. “We have some incredibly talented artists and writers at our school and this festival will recognise those efforts,” P&C said. “We also have a generous community that has donated some great prizes.” The works will be showcased in the old hall and will be open to the community for a gold coin donation.
BOTTLE LID COLLECTION
During Semester Two, Stage 2 are hoping to put together a bottle lid mural. In order for this art project to be successful, we are going to need as many bottle lids as possible. We are asking families to gather up their water, milk and soft drink bottle lids and bring them in to Miss Wickham. Stage 2 thanks you for your contribution.

Musica Viva is bringing Wyniss to CHPS on Friday 28th June. Please return note and payment of $7 per child asap for this entertaining performance.
STAGE 2 - GLASSHOUSE PERFORMANCE ROALD DAHL’S ‘THE TWITS’ – TUESDAY 13T H AUGUST
Mr and Mrs Twit are the most horrible people ever to live on the earth and spend their days playing horrible tricks on each other. Their grotesque appearance is a reflection of their ugly thoughts and mean spirits.
Despite the fact that Mr and Mrs Twit like to play nasty tricks on each other, the book features one of Roald Dahl’s best-known quotes; "...if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely. ”
Stage 2 students have an opportunity to experience the new adaption of The Twits, it is Roald Dahl in his purest form – unsentimental, grotesque and a lot of fun. A comedy of rebellion and justice that is a high energy combination of storytelling, puppetry and physical theatre!
Please note: We must advise the Glasshouse Theatre of our numbers asap.
