Czechoslovakia became one of the most democratic countries in the world during his time in power
He tried to maintain the nationality of Czechs, Slovakians, Moravians…
Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk tried to guarantee various HR which are typical for democratic states which Czechoslovakia was at that time
The written and unwritten international Agreement of basic state law was cancelled by the heads of state of Germany, England, France and Italy in the Munich Agreement in September 1938
This completely changed how Czechoslovakia functioned as a state
It lead to many changes in the democratic law which was guaranteed in 1920, which in turn affected the public life and social etiquette of ordinary citizens
From the time the Munich Agreement was signed in 1939 till the end of the Second World War, this was a time of restriction and upheaval for citizens
After the Second World War the Communists took control of power in Czechoslovakia and this lasted until 1989
1968 the Soviet troops occupied CS
Charta 77 was another important event which was signed in 1977 ◦ Informed people about the loss of citizens rights,
for example their right to freedom, religious freedom, their right to practise the arts and the importance of bringing back these liberties to the country
