News portal alleges MPs ‘cash for letter’ scamNEW DELHI, Dec 12:
In a throwback to the days ofcash-for-query scam, a newsportal today claimed that 11MPs of five parties were willing
to issue letters of recommenda-tion to promote a fictitious for-eign company for a fee rangingfrom Rs 50,000 to Rs 50 lakh.
At a press conference here,Aniruddha Bahal, Editor of theportal Cobrapost, said during thesting operation conducted over aperiod of a year six MPs evenissued letters of recommendation.
Of the MPs, two belonged toCongress, three to BJP, two toAIADMK, three to JD (U) andone to BSP, he said. (PTI)
