All the ports, LEDs, and DIP switch are on the front panel of the BBU3806.

The Enhanced Base Band Card (EBBC) is a baseband extension plugboard for the BBU3806. It supports HSUPA phase II functions. Figure 1 shows the EBBC and its panel.

RUN Green ON The BBU3806 is checking the version, or it is
faulty.
OFF The BBU3806 has no power input, or it is faulty.
ON for 1s and OFF for 1s The BBU3806 runs properly.
ON for 0.25s and OFF for 0.25s Software is being loaded to the BBU3806, or the
BBU3806 is not configured.
ALM Red ON The hardware of the BBU3806 is faulty.
OFF The hardware of the BBU3806 runs properly.
Blinking An external port on the BBU3806 is faulty.
ACT Green ON The BBU3806 is running or in the active state.
OFF The board is not in use or the working mode of
the BBU3806 is extension.
LIU0 to LIU7 Yellow ON A local E1/T1 alarm is generated.
ON for 0.25s and OFF for 0.25s A remote E1/T1 alarm is generated.
OFF This link is not used, or the alarm is cleared.

Yellow ON The CPRI link is faulty.
OFF The CPRI link and the hardware of the RRU run

The LEDs are on the front panel of the BBU3806 and indicate the running status of the BBU3806.

The -48 V DC power cable of the BBU3806 is used to supply -48 V DC power to the BBU3806. Appearance The -48 V DC cable has a 7W2 female connector at one end and two bare power wires at the other end, as shown in Figure 1. OT terminals or cord end terminals must be added to the two wires on site.

Exterior of the BBU3900 The BBU3900, which has a case structure, is 19 inches wide and 2 U high. The dimensions (W x D x H) of the BBU3900 are 442 mm x 310 mm x 86 mm. Figure 1 shows the BBU3900.

The BBU power cable in the OMB is used to supply -48 V DC power to the BBU and HEUA. The DC OMB and AC OMB require different power cables between the BBU and the HEUA.

(1) DB26 male connector
The E1/T1 cable connects the BBU to the external transmission device and transmits
baseband signals.
Exterior
The E1/T1 cables are classified into two types: 75-ohm E1 coaxial cable and 120-ohm E1
twisted pair cable.
One end of the E1/T1 cable is a DB26 male connector. The connector at the other end of
the cable should be made on site according to site requirements.

(1) RJ-45 connector
The FE/GE cable connects the BBU to the transmission device through routing
devices and transmits baseband signals.
NOTE:
The maximum length of the FE/GE cable for remote connection is 100 m.
Exterior
The FE/GE cable is a shielded straight-through cable. It has an RJ-45 connector at
each end

The WBBP has three types of panels, as shown in Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3.

Functions The WBBP has the following functions:
•Provides the CPRI interface for communication between the BBU and the RRU or RFU, and supports the CPRI interface in 1+1 backup mode.
•Processes uplink and downlink baseband signals.
•The WBBPd supports interference cancellation (IC) within the board.
•When installed in slot 2 or slot 3, the WBBPd supports the IC function of uplink data.

The CPRI optical cable transmits CPRI signals between the BBU and the RRU or between RRUs. Exterior The CPRI optical cable is categorized into the multi-mode optical cable and single-mode optical cable. When the distance between the BBU and the RRU is shorter than 100 m, a multi-mode optical cable is required. When the distance between the BBU and the RRU is longer than 100 m, a single-mode optical cable is required.
Figure 1 shows the multi-mode optical cable.
