Use Arrow button to select “Apply Blood” for fingertip sampleor “Alternate Site” for forearm andpalm samples. Do Not select ControlSolution mode when testing blood.Failure to select correct test modemay cause blood glucose averagesto be incorrect.
Insert Test Strip.
Push it all the way in until it will go nofurther. Meter turns on automatically.
Very high blood glucose level exceeding 600 mg/dL.
There may be a problem with meter. 1) Turn off meter. Enter Set-up mode.
Reset meter before testing; or2) Turn off meter. Enter Set-up mode.
Reset language, date, time andmeter code.
If Error 1 message continues, Do Notuse the meter. Call LifeScan CustomerService at 1 800 227-8862 for areplacement meter.
Used test strip inserted or problemwith meter. Repeat test with new teststrip.
Blood or control solution sampleapplied before “Apply Blood”,“Alternate Site”, or “Control Solution”appeared on display. Repeat test withnew test strip.
Fill Confirmation Window.
Be sure confirmation window is fullbefore meter counts down. If windowis not full before meter beginscountdown, repeat test with newtest strip. Do Not add more blood tothe test strip; discard the test stripand retest.
Accurate Results in Just 5 Seconds.
1) New meter not coded. Code meter; or
2) Meter lost power briefly and entered Set-up mode. Reset codenumber.
Test result with suggestion to checkketone levels.
Test result is from 20 through 59 mg/dLwith meal or snack reminder.
Blood glucose level lower than 20 mg/dL.
