Coca-cola is enjoyed all over the world . 1.6 billiongallons are sold every year, in over one hundredand sixty countries. The drink was invented by Dr.John Pemberton in Atlanta as a health drink on 8May 1886, but it was given the name Coca-colaby his partner, Frank Robinson, because it wasoriginally made from the coca (cocaine) plant . Inthe first year, only 9 drinks a day were sold.
