What we have been talking about……..
Hospital Passports Sharon has been telling
members about the Hospital Passport.
Sharon says ‘Hospital Pass-ports are really important. You fill it out before you go into hospital and take it with you. The doctors and nurses then know about you.
Flu jabs
Long term health Problems
We found out that not everyone had had one.
Some people didn’t know why they had one. Some people said they were not given a choice.
Some people knew they had long term health problems, many didn’t.
Most people had their health managed by
family, carers or
support staff, so could not answer the questions.
Looking After Your Teeth
Devon Link Up members have been looking at their teeth with help from Tracey Andrews, an oral health educator who works for Torbay and South Devon Clinical Commissioning group.
Tracey explained how to brush teeth properly and talked to
everyone about
sugary drinks and how sugar affects your teeth.
People needed
reminding about good dental care.
