TAKING POSSESSION OF THE OLYMPIC PARK SITE
• The assembly of a 250 hectare site is one of largest
Compulsory Purchase Orders to have taken place in the UK.
• 2,200 land ownerships to acquire
• Approximately 200 businesses relocated
• 98% of the 4,750 jobs secured
• Over 140,000 square metres of development space,
including three new LDA business parks constructed in
areas adjacent to the Park

• Two treatment centres
established – one in the north
and one in the south
• Each treatment centre has
several treatment processes
available
• Flexibility of approach and
competition between treatment
methods is encouraged
• Five soil washing plants at
site.
• Soil stabilisation
• Bioremediation cell pads
constructed
