NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATIONMISSION » Declaration of Authenticity for the provided documents;
» Application for the Letter of Acceptance to the study program
Preparatory Year of Romanian Studies for Foreign Students issued by
the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research;
» Certificate of recognition of studies and copy of the application for
recognition of the admission to undergraduate studies to citizens
of EU Member States, EEA and the EC. Foreign nationals wishing to
equate high school graduation diplomas will consult the website of
the National Center for Equivalence and Recognition of Diplomas of the
Ministry of National Education - Baccalaureate http://www.cnred.edu.
ro/ equivalence certification;
» Request for Letter of acceptance to study for foreign candidates from
non-EU member countries;
» High school diploma / diploma of completion of secondary education
and studies related transcript in the original, authenticated by
the Romanian Embassy in the issuing country or Hague Apostille
stamp, together with the certified copy and legalized translation into
Romanian language for foreign candidates from non-EU member
countries;
» the original document and a legalized translation into Romanian
version of the document for the citizens of EU Member States, EEA and
the EC;
» Certified copy of the birth certificate, together with a certified
translation into Romanian (for certificates issued in other countries);
» Marriage certificate for married candidates (who changed their names)
copy and legalized translation into Romanian;
» Copy of passport pages 1-4;
» Copy of identity document that must be valid at the date of enrollment
for the Preparatory Year of Romanian Studies;
» Medical certificate (and authorized translation into Romanian), issued
by the school medical practices or family doctors - where appropriate
-, certifying that they are able to participate in the study program;
» Four photographs, identity card size;
» Power of attorney - clearly specifying the date of validity (for those
candidates who do not submit in person the registration file);
» A file folder envelope.
The Preparatory Year of Romanian Studies for foreign students of the
Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures within Dimitrie Cantemir
Christian University aims at training and developing language and
communication skills in Romanian for non-native speakers, and growing
foreign interest for Romanian culture and civilization.
After attending this program of study for two semesters of intensive
study of Romanian language, students will achieve oral and written
communication skills of B1 - B2 level according to the CEFR (Common
European Framework of Reference).
According to its curriculum, the program of study includes intensive
practical training seminars of Romanian language and civilization and
Romanian for specific purposes. At the end of two semesters of study the
participating students will receive a Certificate of Linguistic Competence
and will be able to enroll and attend any faculty of Dimitrie Cantemir
Christian University or any faculty from other higher education institutions
in Romania.
The Center for Preparatory Year of Romanian Studies for
Foreign Students is an operational department of
Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University and its central
mission is to teach Romanian to non - native
speakers who have graduated from high school
or universities in countries of the non-European
Union or other countries around the world in
order they may apply for a Romanian degree
program (bachelor, master, Ph.D.).
