You can effectively retrieve the corresponding documents based on your working scope and thephase of the product life cycle.
Retrieving by the Product Life CycleThe life cycle of the equipment consists of network planning, installation and networkcommissioning, network configuration and management, and network running and maintenance.This section describes the product life cycle and the documents that correspond to differentphases of the life cycle. Documents corresponding to phases of the product life cycle are shownin Figure 1-1.

The relationship between product documentations and the online help is as follows:l Based on the product utilization and operation habits of users, the focus of product
documentations and the online help is different. The online help describes operation andmaintenance tasks based on the GUI. Whereas, product documentations describe operationand maintenance scenarios based on the product utilization.
l Both the product documentations and online help describe major tasks pertaining tooperation and maintenance tasks.
2.3 Release DocumentationThe release documentations are released each time the product is upgraded.

3 Documentation Development
The development of Huawei documentation adopts the engineering method, which consists ofseveral phases, including planning, development, and commercialization. Deliverables in softand hard copies are provided to the users.
Development ProcessHuawei Information Development Department is responsible for the development of productdocuments. The development of product documents consists of the following phases:
1. Analyze requirements collected from the customers.2. Make a documentation development plan.3. Design the deliverables of the documentation development.4. Develop the original deliverables of product documents.5. Test and verify the deliverables of the documentation development.6. Release the documents.
The quality of the documentation is guaranteed through the implementation of tasks at differentphases and through the decisive review at the last phase.
Standards ComplianceThe documentation development process is compliant with the TL9000 standards of the QualityExcellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications Forum
