Dr. M. Ramanjaneyulu, myself is a Professor of Economics in the
Bangalore University Post Graduate Department of Economics, Jnanabharathi,
Bangalore-56. I am a doctorate in Economics with specialization of “Housing
Programmes for Weaker Sections in Andhra Pradesh” with Welfare Economics,
Indian Economics, Development Economics, and Quantitative Techniques in
Economics and Computer Applications in Economic Analysis. I am dedicated
in the area of teaching, research and extension of the subject of Economics; the
thrust areas are Regional Economic Problems, policies and practice to solve the
problems of Indian economy. I also worked as a Principal Investigator for Two
UGC Major Research Projects and One Minor Project, published a book on
‘Economic Empowerment of Women in India ‘which is a new venture to attain
self-employment and self-reliant though various training and micro-
entrepreneurial abilities among women and poor segment of society. I have
been guiding PhD doctoral research candidates and M.Phil Degree Students in
the areas of Indian economic problems. I am also a life member of Indian
Economic Society, Institute of Public Administration Labour Economic Society
New Delhi. I have participated in several national, international seminars,
conferences and workshops and presented research papers and also published
good number of articles in different journals and edited books. I am actively
associated with academic activities of teaching, research and extension of the
subject of economics with several Universities and professional bodies in India.
Working as a Referee for Environmental Economics Journal in Ukrain of
Russia and Editorial Advisory Board member for International Academic
Journal of Applied Economics, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and India.
