My Project
OtagoNet OverviewOtagoNet is a collaborative on-line network of nine rural
Otago schools established in October 2001 to take advantage of broadband telecommunication, including the use of videoconferencing. Its aim is to widen and enrich the educational opportunities for Otago rural area and secondary school students and enhance teaching and learning.
The schools involved are Cromwell College, Dunstan High School, East Otago High School, Kurow Area School (now Waitaki Valley), Lawrence Area School, Maniototo Area School, Mt Aspiring College, Roxburgh Area School and The Catlins Area School. In 2005 three more schools have joined the cluster, Tokomairiro High School, Blue Mountain College and South Otago High School.
