Any sharp object that poses a threat to safety. Often refers to waste that can cause lacerations or cuts. Examples: Glass (Broken), Pipette tips, Razors, Sharp objects

Place into a sturdy container labeled broken “Glass” or “Sharp Objects”

Store separately from regular trash. Every year custodians are injured by sharp objects in trash cans.

removing cover and pushing flap up.
Tape the box shut (MAX 25 lbs) No liquids! (gels go
in hard walled pails)

If not contaminated, place ‘Pitch In’ sticker on box.Place box directly into dumpster or set out for custodians to pick up.
