Fast and accurate resultsDetermines the resistance of woven and knitted fabrics to pilling by means of thepill box method.
Specimens are mounted onpolyurethane specimen tubes andplaced inside the test box, four tubesin each box.The counter is set for the specifiednumber of revolutions and the machinestarted. At the end of the test, thesamples are assessed by means ofcomparison to standards or referencesinside a suitable viewing cabinet.
The machine can be supplied as a twobox or four box version, with the optionof the boxes having snagging pins fittedto carry out the snagging tests. Theboxes have a cylindrical external coverfor added safety.
The instrument is supplied with a singlespeed motor, the boxes rotating at 60rpm.An alternative unit with a variable speeddrive is available.
