Description: The Energy Club of Easwari Engineering College conducted a
plant sampling event “Go Green” on 28th July 2019 .The event was
started at 1.45 PM. All members of energy club assembled before the
administration office.
Dr.E.Kaliappan of EEE Department and Dr.V.Antony Aroul Raj
of Research and Development co-ordinator planted one of the samplings.
Dr.E.Kalippan appreciated the Energy club members for making this event a
successful one.
Dr.S.Sudha of ECE Department planted another sampling. She asked us to
take care of those samplings, so that it will grow into a tree as students grow in
their life. She conclude his speech by appreciating our members. The beautiful
quote that inspired and appreciated us was,

Mr.P.Marish kumar of EEE Department and Co-ordinator of Energy Club
planted the sampling. He gave us a great support for making this event a
successful. He brightened the day with one of the inspirational quote,

Mrs.Sumathi Srinivas of Associate Dean of Campus life had a
meeting with the President and Vice president of Energy Club and gave
more idea for conducting future events. She also recited one for his

NAME OF THE EVENT : VISION 2020 ( A Photography Contest)

DESCRIPTION:
The office bearers of Energy Club were conducted," VISION :2020 " a
photography contest for the students of Easwari Engineering College
which was held from 24th July 2019 to 30th July 2019. Participant’s photos
were posted on the official Instagram page of Energy Club. The main aim of
this photography contest is to bring out one’s own individual skills, theme
and amount of likes. The result was announced on 30 July 2019. The
winners were selected based on likes owed to their respective photos. The
first place was given to Rajasekar (Mechanical 3rd Year ) and the second
place was given to Mohamed Ajmal (Civil 3rd year) and Shiva Perumal
(Mechanical 2nd Year). Winners were provided with a certificate of honour
and E-certificate were provided for the all the participants.

DESCRIPTION :
The event of reinstallation of office bearers of the energy club for the academic
year of 2019-2020, had been conducted in the presence of the energy club
coordinator, the vice-principal, the HOD of the EEE department, the HOD of the
MECHANICAL department, dean campus life and the chief guest Mr. Suresh.
CHIEF GUEST PROFILE:
Dr.Suresh is a graduate of IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad and has worked as a
marketing executive in textile companies where he rose to become the MD of a
textile group through his hard work and dedication. HE is currently the general
manager of a company called SAKS ancillaries. He is also well known for making
his residence in kilpauk almost completely self-sustained. Mr. Suresh was
determined to set up a solar plant to meet the power needs of his house which he
eventually did accomplish. Hence now he is fondly called as SOLAR SURESH. In
addition to this revolutionary step, he also harvests rainwater and uses what others
in the vicinity consider as waste as biogas using the biogas plant instilled in his
house. He also has a kitchen garden of his own thus making the best possible use
of every natural resource. Our club was truly honoured and blessed to have had
heard such inspiring words from the gentleman
The course of the event was as follows, the event began by welcoming all the
faculty members and the chief guest. A fresh start was given to the event by
playing the "thamizh thai vazhthu" after which the dignitaries lighted the
kuthuvilakku to give a new beginning to the event.
It was followed by the speech given by MR .VETRIVEL SEZHIAN the HOD of
the mechanical department where he gave a brief introduction about the club and
the notable events that were held by the club in the past. Following his speech Mr.
MARISH KUMAR, the club coordinator took the duty of announcing the club's
president for the next academic year. shortly after, the club's president Ms.
Nivedha presented the annual reports for the tenure of 2018-2019.
Badges were presented to the respective office bearers by the, reverend chief
guest and the gratifying moment was captured into a group picture. the chief
guest was presented with a memento by the HOD of the EEE department,
Dr.E.KALIAPPAN. the Event was further rekindled by the presentation
given by the beloved chief guest Mr. Suresh.
In his presentation, Mr. Suresh apprised the importance of saving energy as
common as that which is being used in households. As an example, he
presented the multitude of reconstructions that he had made in his household
that provided innovative solutions to meet the energy needs without
exhausting the entirety of the energy sources made available. his
presentation was inspiring and motivated the listeners to think up to the
necessity of the evolving world.
Marking the end of the event, the vote of thanks was given by the Chief
secretary of the club Mr.Aravind who addressed the faculty members, the
office bearers and the club members and thanking them for making the event
a grand success .The event was wrapped up after the national anthem.

“Energy is liberated matter; matter is energy waiting to happen”
DESCRIPTION:
The office bearers of Energy club conducted a Guest Lecture on “NO MORE DAY
ZERO” on 14 August 2019 at Hospital Block Auditorium for the students of
Easwari Engineering College. The students assembled in the auditorium at 2.00
pm. The event started off with the prayer song after the arrival of the chief
guest. Dr.Suresh or Solar Suresh is a one-man green-energy army who leads a
completely eco-friendly and self-sufficient life by generating all the electricity and
resources on which humans need to survive. The guest lecture was an initiative to
know the basics of energy and power and it brought the concentration of the
students towards the daily consumption of energy and how this energy is being
used.
He started his speech by first explaining the roof top solar plant, types of solar
power projects, elements of solar power and the benefits of installing roof top solar
plants in houses. He exclaimed that solar energy is the source of energy for the
future. He then went on to explain about the bio gas and terrace kitchen garden.
Finally, he explained about the importance of implementing rain water harvesting
in each and every house. The speech was a thought-provoking speech and it was an
effective session for all the students. The event was concluded with the National
Anthem and then students were dispersed.
MEME CONTEST

The office bearers of Energy Club were conducted a “MEME
CONTEST” for the students of Easwari Engineering College which was held
from 31st august 2019 to 3rd September 2019.
Participant’s memes were posted on the official Instagram page
of Energy Club. The main aim of this meme contest is to bring out one’s own
individual skills. The result was announced on 3rd September 2019. The winners
were selected based on likes owed to their respective memes.
The first place was given to Rahul Anand Mechanical 2nd Year
and the second place was given to Kishore Manikandan Mechanical 2nd Year.
E-certificate were provided for the winners.
BATTLE OF WORDS (A DEBATE COMPETITION)

DESCRIPTION:
The office bearers of Energy Club conducted an event BATTLE OF WORDS (A
DEBATE COMPETITION) for all the second and third years of all departments on
17th September of 2019 in main block 2nd floor control system lab of Easwari
Engineering College. The registration started from 27th august more than 26
students were registered for the event, randomly they were divided into 13 teams
each team consist of two members.
They were judged by DR. Samuel Dawson HOD of English Department. Two
rounds were conducted for 13 teams, out of which 4 teams were shortlisted for the
final round. They were judged based on the language proficiency, body language,
team management and so on. Participants were given 3 mins to prepare for the
topic, last 2 mins for concluding the speech and finally 2 mins for the judge’s
questions.
The first prize was given to Rohit CSE 3rd year and Sunil Kumar mech 2nd year.
The second prize was given to Saaswath Kanna mech 3rd year and Madan
Kumar mech 2nd year..
Later on, the judge was felicitated with a memento by the Energy club President.
To encourage all the students, participation certificate was given to all the
participants.
MEGA SEEDBALL EVENT

DESCRIPTION :
The office bearers of Energy club of EASWARI
ENGINEERING COLLEGE participated in this mega seed ball camp along with
the others club of EEC and other volunteer organisations.
The event was organised by the VER ORGANISATION and conducted at DG
VAISHNAV COLLEGE on 22nd september 2019 at 7am. And we have made 700
seed ball.

DESCRIPTION:
The Energy Club of Easwari Engineering College conducted a
Quiz on 25th September, 2019 at LH 3501 and LH2401,Mechanical Block, 5th floor
for the students of Easwari Engineering College. The Event commenced on 10am.
Each team consisted of 2 members. A preliminary round of 25
questions was held for 30 minutes. From the 60 teams, 15 teams were shortlisted for
the second round.
The second round was a connexions round. The participants had to identify a set of
names, proverbs, etc. from a set of images. 4 teams were shortlisted for the final
round. In the final round, the teams have to arrange a set of letters and frame the
answers for the questions displayed. The duration of this round was 15 minutes. The
team which framed the answers first was the winner.
The winners were awarded cash prize and certificates by our club co-ordinator
Mr.P.Marish Kumar. The event ended by 12 P.M.

NEGIZHI ( A PLASTIC AWARNESS CAMPAIGN)
DAY 1 :Rally on Plastic And E waste

“Katrayum sirai vaikum kapadanadakam arindhadhu negizhi”
DESCRIPTION:
The energy club of Easwari engineering college with the members
of the club conducted a awareness rally on platics and e-waste.The ralley started
from OAT and ended at the maingate of the college from 12:30 to 1:30 on 30th of
September .The objective of this rally was to bring the focus of students towards
the necessity of plastic and e-waste management.
Students shouted out slogans about plastic awareness such as “plastics may give a
helpful hand but they pollute our land”. They carried placards displaying messages.
A notice board with stick pads in front of the electronics block-II which attracted
many students to be a part of the event.

Vice principal, Mr. kaliappan ( HOD-EEE) , Mr. Marish kumar (co-ordinator) of
the club felicitated the event.

“TODAY’S WASTE IS THE RESOURCE FOR TOMORROW’S
PRODUCT”
DESCRIPTION:
The office bearers of energy club conducted a guest lecture
“SEGREGATION COLOR CODES” for NEGIZHI event on 1-10-2019 at hi-tech
hall-1, Trp auditorium for the students of Easwari engineering college.
The students assembled at the auditorium by 1:30pm . The event
started with the arrival of the chief guests team of mechanical engineers , aluminis
of Easwari engineering college .They are founders of trashman a online scrap
pickup service . This app will help people get rid of unwanted waste from their
homes in an efficient and environment friendly manner.
One of the chief guest addressing the students about the problems faced in trash
management, advantages of efficient trash management .An example of Sweden
where less than 1% of waste ends up in landfills .And this energy from trash
provides electricity for 6.8 lakh families. He went on by explaining the plastic
codes and concluded by explaining the role of youngsters in waste management.

DAY 3 : Beach Cleanup Event

DESCRIPTION:
As the oceans of the world are being cleaned up on the occasion of
the”FATHER OF OUR NATION MAHATMA GANDHIJI’S BIRTHDAY”
We the ENERGY CLUB of EASWARI ENGINEERING
COLLEGE conducted a beach cleaning on 02.10.2019. The volunteers reached the
meet up point by 7.00AM.
We were also provided with masks and gloves. They took the entire
shore and split up among themselves and they started picking up all the debris.
We were advised to collect plastic bottles, bottle caps, glass bottles,
plastic covers, food wrappers, torn fishing nets, sponges, aluminium foils etc.
We were instructed not to pick up wet waste and that includes decayed food waste,
animal or human waste. All the items were collected in different bags. Even micro
plastics were picked out by the volunteers and they were diligent in their work.

DESCRIPTION: The Energy Club of Easwari Engineering College visited the
govt higher secondary school in Ramapuram. The main motive of the visit was to
create awareness among students and to say “SAY NO TO PLASTICS”. They
interacted with the students and got their views and solutions to save the Earth.
Many games were conducted and the students participated with enthusiasm .They
were rewarded with prizes .The visit was very much helpful to encourage the
students and a good experience to the office bearers.
The office bearers of energy club interacted with the students of the school.
The students participating in the events conducted by the club with enthusiasm.
Student involved in cleaning the school and made the Place plastic free.
CHARITY EVENT OF ENERGY CLUB
EVENT NAME : Sustainable Santa
Date : From 19.12.2019 to 23.12.2019
Venue : Main Block ,Mechanical Block ,PG Block , Easwari Campus.
DESCRIPTION:
Sustainable Santa , a charity program from 19-12-2019
(Thursday) to 23-12-2019 (Friday) in Easwari campus . The main objective of this
event is to help the children of the orphanage by collecting the used items from
fellow students and give it to them. We have planned to place the collect boxes
one each in Electronics block-2, Civil block and Mechanical block ground floor.
Students have participated very enthusiastically and the Main Motto of conducting
this event is "IT'S NOT HOW MUCH WE GIVE BUT HOW MUCH
LOVE WE PUT IN GIVING".
We collected old books, used clothes, stationary and indoor games. All the collected
items were given to the nearby orphanage. It was a small action from our side to
make big difference.
ARTICLE WRITING
Event Name : PEN-ED
Date : 23/01/2020 to 28/01/2020
DESCRIPTION:
An Article writing Contest was conducted by the Energy Club of
Easwari Engineering College from 23/01/2020 to 28/01/2020. The competition was
conducted on an online forum where the students have to forward their articles to the
club, which was later scrutinised by the Co-Ordinator.
The topics that were given were,
1. Inaction during Climate Emergencies is not an option.
2. Scopes of alternative Fuel Cell.
3. Feasibility of Elon Musk’s Space Missions.
From the various articles that were sent, few were shortlisted and given prizes.

PAPER PRESENTATION EVENT OF ENERGY CLUB
EVENT NAME: RAMP WALK OF BRAINS.
Date : 04.02.2020
Venue : TRP AUDITORIUM , EASWARI CAMPUS.
Description:
Ramp walk of Brains, is the signature event of the energy club
which has been conducted successfully for the past three years.
The ultimate aim of the event is to support innovation and fresh
ideas from young engineering minds. Ramp walk of brains 2020 was conducted on
the fourth of February, with the help of the coordinating staff and office bearers.
The event was held from 10:00 am to 12:25 pm and judged by Dr. Thilahar
(professor from EEE department), six teams were selected from the online rounds
for on-stage presentation .Topics on various instances of renewable resources of
energy and versatile grounds of research were presented.
The first prize , a cash award of 1000 rupees, was bagged by students belonging to
third Year of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
VASANTHAMATHY.R , YAHVI.L and SUPRAAJA. AP , Presented their
proposal on “smart hybrid solar wind tree”.They showed their depth of knowledge
and modernization techniques . Their presentation skills alongside a brilliant and
compatible topic gave them an upper hand.
The second prize, a cash award of 500 rupees was bagged by AKASH HARI.B,
R. JASHWANTH VENKATESH and K. KARTHIK from the Electrical and
Electronics Engineering Department. Their topic “proton nano robot” was a
futuristic outreach and productive.
The day was marked by outstanding participants who had presented diverse topics
and made the competition worthwhile. The end of the competition was marked by a
vote of thanks to express our gratitude to the judge and the office bearers without
whom the event would not have been possible.
