Pulley Lagging
Manufactured to the highest standards to meet all on-site specificationsLive shaft or dead shaft
Pulley shells are commonly lagged to protect the pulley face from wear and provide better traction to the
belt. Applying the right lagging material is crucial to the performance of the pulley, life of your conveyor
belting and the reliability of your system. CPS pulleys can be customised with a variety of lagging systems.

CPS prides itself as a leader in innovation and technology in the conveyor industry. CPS works continuously to improve business processes and product quality,
delivering sustainable value to our partners. The Technology Department is focused on developing creative, professional solutions for the industry.
The distributed drive units are installed in place of normal idlers, providing extra power to assist or replace the main drive adding power to the belt along its entire
length and providing both financial and technical benefits.
Heavy duty R&D drive unit installed with successful trial targeting 15kW power transfer – achieved a full 37kW transferred without traction loss.
Distributed Drive Technology
• Control of tension & minimized dynamic effects
• Low cost retrofit additional drive power & modular expandable conveyors
• Lighter duty/simplified drive stations
• Reduced alignment requirements
• Reduced cost of related components (pulleys, idlers, belt, etc)
Benefits include
“Theoretically, the best drive would continuously add energy along the belt path as it is being removed through movement resistance and potential energy.” – CEMA conveyor standard, 7th edition.
