Executive Masters in Business Administration
S P Jain School of Global Management
Why climb the corporate ladder when you can take the elevator?
John M Capozzi
Dear Prospective Executive MBA Candidate,
An athlete strives to excel by being both physically and mentally fit. He or she must have self-confidence and
resilience. A case in point: Wilma Rudolph won three gold medals in the 1960 Olympics, in Rome, Italy. This
despite being born in prematurely, in poverty, and suffering debilitating polio as a child. Wilma Rudolph, once
told she would never walk without a brace on her leg, was later hailed as the fastest woman in the world. How did
she achieve this success? She articulated her vision well, set her goals high, trained her mind, refused to accept
defeat, and practiced with determination.
The business environment is turbulent. Organizations strive to survive and stay ahead of competition. Senior
executives are required to make decisions in conditions of uncertainty. To be successful in today’s interconnected
world, a well-crafted business executive needs to be a corporate athlete – ready to flex the mind, blending logic
and intuition.
At S P Jain, we continuously visit the Executive MBA curriculum to meet the dynamic industry needs. The
program is practical and will enhance your personal effectiveness, stimulate cross-functional and creative
thinking when faced with ambiguity, and, above all, help you make an impact at work. We offer real-world
experience to foster holistic learning, and the ability to analyze problems from multiple perspectives to find
solutions.
The applied learning and practical journey will transform you into the best leader that you can be, so you
continue to have a successful career making innovative contributions to your industry. You will be inspired and
prepared to make a profound, positive, and sustainable impact in your communities. The Executive MBA
program at the S P Jain School of Global Management grooms you to be a corporate athlete so you grow faster in
your career.
On that note, I welcome you to our Executive MBA program as you embark on your triumphant journey of
personal and professional success.
All the Best,

Letter from the Dean
Letter from the Assistant Dean
Dear Prospective Executive MBA Candidate,
I welcome you to S P Jain's Executive MBA program (EMBA), a unique learning experience, challenging and
motivating at the same time. The S P Jain EMBA has been designed to transform deserving working executives
into business leaders. The diverse group of experienced executives, a well-qualified global faculty, and
compelling pedagogy, creates a meaningful collaborative educational/learning environment.
The EMBA is a two-year, part-time program that is flexible but demanding. At S P Jain, we do not ignore the
important needs of executives who have to balance their working and personal lives. The program has been
designed for participants to study on alternate weeks and still complete the program in two years. Nevertheless,
if you choose to allocate more time to study, you can complete the program in less than two years.
The business world today is becoming more complex and requires managers who are leaders with the pragmatic
ability to get work done in a demanding and diverse team environment. At S P Jain, you will learn in an
environment where you will be forced to think analytically with a focus on making decisions in challenging
situations, thus bringing both the theoretical concepts and concrete business practices to the classroom.
If you are prepared for a unique enriching learning experience, you are welcome to join S P Jain's EMBA program.
Good luck in your endeavor!

About S P Jain
History
S P Jain was founded in 1981 in Mumbai, and since its inception has been regarded as among the best business
schools in India. With new campuses in Dubai (2004), Singapore (2006), and Sydney, Australia (2012), S P Jain has
become one of Asia’s most respected business schools.
The innovation came in response to the changing workplace, where global challenges favor leaders over
managers, and innovators over performers. S P Jain’s unique pedagogy focuses, not merely on developing
professional skills as an end product, but rather, on teaching candidates the processes and theories on which the
skillsets are based. S P Jain is process-oriented, rather than product-oriented. This deeper understanding helps
our candidates become successful leaders in their chosen fields.

A Cutting-Edge Executive MBA Program
The S P Jain Executive MBA provides candidates with a rigorous core curriculum emphasizing general
management concepts. However, today's global organizations require managers with specialized knowledge
and domain expertise. To this end, besides acquiring a broad knowledge of business culture and practice,
candidates select an area for specialization, and also choose an area for intensive study within the
specialization. Managing someone's wealth is very different from managing airport logistics, or marketing fast-
moving consumer goods (FMCG). This school of thought has been endorsed by industry experts who believe
that management takes place at two levels: cross-functional and vertical. S P Jain offers EMBA candidates three
cutting-edge specializations to equip them with the in-depth knowledge and specific tools that their future
careers will demand. These specializations are Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
Operations
Until a few years ago, logistics was rarely discussed in large corporations. But in today's highly competitive global
marketplace, logistics and supply chain management has moved to the boardroom. The initial concept was to
reduce costs. Now, the concept aims at improving overall competitiveness and sustainability.
The operations program covers a wide spectrum of topics including transportation management, lean supply
chain, strategic sourcing, warehousing, performance-based logistics, constraints management, supply chain
network design, and demand management. Dubai is an important logistics hubs connecting globally and
regionally, therefore is a perfect location for this specialization.
Finance
Financial analysts are in demand, be it for business, government, or non-profit organizations. The finance
specialization focuses on the development of management skills in conjunction with the use of strategic and
financial analyses in critical decision-making.
The concentration provides an in-depth
study of corporate finance, securities
analysis, portfolio management, as well as
financial institutions and markets. It
emphasizes contemporary research and
analytical methods towards a more informed
approach in innovative problem-solving
techniques. Theoretical knowledge is
supplemented with practical exercises and
examples for the benefit of the candidates.
Dubai is evolving as a financial center of
international repute (DIFC), and has free
trade agreements (FTA) with regional and
global markets. Candidates specializing in
finance are at a regional center with strong
ties to a growth market of 2.3 billion people.
Marketing
The marketing specialization prepares candidates for rewarding marketing careers by giving them insights into
best practices over a range of areas including consumer behavior, marketing research, brand management,
offering portfolios, customer culture theory, and digital interactive marketing. Our pedagogy emphasizes an
engaged-learning approach in which the classroom functions as a business laboratory. Many marketing courses
function as workshops, with case-studies, discussions, simulations, as well as innovative exercises that stimulate
candidates' interaction while enabling them to apply and improve their cognitive, analytical, and creative skills.
After completing the program, candidates have learned how to implement marketing strategies that build strong
customer relationships, create substantial value, and integrate market-facing activities.
We have made our program flexible so that working executives will not compromise their present professional
commitments. S P Jain has a uniquely structured EMBA program designed for experiential learning for all working
candidates regardless of specialization. The total number of lecture hours and credit requirements are same for all
EMBA students at all campuses in Dubai, Singapore, and Sydney. S P Jain's EMBA is curriculum benchmarked against the best programs in the world. The uniqueness of the
program lies in how we have incorporated important factors for you.
Study today, apply tomorrow
The one week on-campus followed by one-week off campus structure, gives participants an opportunity to put
learning into immediate practice and thereby derive maximum benefit of their academic experiential tutoring.
Part-time Program
A break in the corporate career for a full-time MBA Program is a very difficult decision and more often gets
impractical. Distance education programs and other similar options lack quality, relevance to field realities, and
hence low on effectiveness. S P Jain's uniquely structured EMBA program is designed with a potential to address
the above shortcomings and fills the gap by providing part-time real experiential learning to the participants,
without interrupting their careers.
Industry relevant curriculum
Experts from S P Jain's Industry Advisory Panel along with the Academic Board design the EMBA curriculum to
meet with the business house requirements, and make the pedagogy challenging and contemporary, suiting
changing demands and trends.
Cutting-edge Specializations
Today's companies need leaders with cross functional knowledge backed by domain expertise. S P Jain's EMBA
Program offers participants this unique opportunity to specialize in one of the three areas: Finance, Marketing or Operations. Multinational and Distinguished Faculty
The hallmark and strength of S P Jain is its Faculty, comprising the best in the field, scholars and experts from
around the world. The faculty brings in a wealth of research, teaching and industry experience to the classroom,
thereby elevating the level of classroom discussion and imparting a Global Education. Experiential Learning
The case study based teaching methodology, quizzes, business simulations, discussions and debates simulate a
real-time situation for students, reflecting the problems and critical decision making that leaders and CEOs come
across today.
Mature age-group of participants and Networking
The student body comes from a diverse background, representing all sectors, and experiences of different work
profiles, with participants having a minimum of 3 years of work-experience as mandatory. The EMBA program
gives a platform to students to connect with people from different industries, build contacts which could be
leveraged personally and professionally, besides proving to be a learning resource to one other.
Graduating with an Australian Degree
S P Jain is a Registered Higher Education Institution with the Department of Education and Training, New South
Wales, Australia. S P Jain is the only school of Indian origin to win this international accreditation. At the end of the
program, a student would be conferred with a degree from the S P Jain School of Global Management, Australia.
This significantly enhances the international acceptance of the degree for further studies and for a global career.
