With careful steps Montaha Al-Ajeel succeededin making a name for herself in the fashionworld, which gave her many Arab and
International awards as well as the Elegance Icon titleand the Prize of Honor. On top of all that came the nam-ing of Montaha Couture brand as the best internationalbrand of 2016. Due to her activity in the fashion indus-try and her enthusiasm in holding international andphilanthropic fashion shows, she recently joined, theelite ship in Doha: The Blue Salon.
In the press conference held on that occasion sheexpressed her happiness at joining the Blue Salon Shopin the State of Qatar and her willingness to meet thetastes of the Qatari woman. A fashion show was held onthe occasion of the press conference where she pointedout that the tastes of the Qatari woman was close tothat of the Kuwaiti woman, making it easy to meet herrequirements.
She added that she was happy with the trust of theQatari Businessman Ashraf Abdulrahim, Chairman andCEO of Abu Issa Holdings Group which is one of themajor retail companies in the region. The Blue Salon isone of the Group’s project of a venue for the elite offer-ing International high-end fashion, watches, jewelry,cosmetics and furniture.

Remembering PrinceDonatella Versace paid sweet tribute
to Prince, capping her runway showwith a black ruffle shirt. The frilly ges-ture, referencing the artist’s Purple Raincostume, was in stark contrast to therest of the collection, which was other-wise defined by a relaxed silhouettemore befitting an essential nomad thanthe ostentatious performer.
The collection featured muscle-revealing silk knitwear worn underlong, trailing overcoats. Button-downshirts were worn long like tunics, andsweaters wrapped androgynously atthe waist. Single-breasted suit jacketswere hasti ly buttoned over loose
trousers with an elasticized cuff.TheVersace empire bag was worn bothcross-body, messenger-style and as abackpack, and footwear included stur-dy sandals and technical sneakers. Thecolor palette was mostly a traveler’seasy monochrome, including olive,blue, gray and sand-and Prince’s ownpurple. The show was set to a sound-track of music that Prince recorded as agift to Versace five months ago. Thedesigner said she wanted “to share thisincredible music from a dear andmuch-missed friend.”

Dean and Dan Caten, the forces behindthe DSquared2 label, have the footwearfor you: Prince-worthy high heeled bootsavailable in any combination of sequinsand glitter. The ever-so glam boot waspaired with jeans cropped perfectly tomeet the leather upper mid-calf. The lookswere topped with sleeveless muscle shirtswith sewn-on suspenders, shimmerystriped lurex sweaters or jackets featuringcheckerboard or chevron designs. Thetwins wore long rainbow scarves to greetthe crowd in a Fashion Eve event Fridayevening, an apparent tribute to theOrlando shooting victims. —AP
