Owners of critical transformer equipment can realize the benefits of predictive analysis on transformer health and the development of a true condition-based maintenance program.
This offering includes specific monitoring components that are configured into a customized system that correlates key transformer data and models actual operating conditions.
Transformer Predictive Analysis
Transformer Monitoring System (TMS) is primarily health monitoring of the equipment that can acquire, process, analyze & communicates the critical parameters to centralize Data Center for analysis and visualization of wide spread Distribution Transformers and Power Transformer in Electrical Network
TMS
Transformers are very important plant assets and their health is crucial to the operation of the facility.
Periodic inspections and tests are not always sufficient to identify developing issues.
Oil analysis alone cannot cover many failure modes. Many transformer units installed at industrial plants have very unique and complex designs.
Background
TMS increases the reliability of distribution network. Not only the conventional technical data, such as current, voltage, etc., but also other critical
information such as moisture, oil temperature, oil level etc. of transformers, are required by the operators to ensure reliable power delivery and to assist the day-to-day decision making activities.

On line Dissolved gas Analysis, Hot spot, and Tan delta of bushing for Power Transformerhelps to monitor the health of transformer and more important loading of the transformercan be accurately controlled. Insulation integrity is vital to your transformer's operation.Moisture buildup and transformer overheating are two conditions which may lead toirreversible insulation degradation. NI cRIO accurately monitors the evolution of bothmoisture and carbon monoxide, allowing optimal scheduling of additional insulationintegrity tests such as Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) and Furan testing.
Monitoring condition of Insulation Degradation
Even at the earliest stages of fault development, both thermal and electrical stresseson transformer oil will generate dissolved hydrogen. In addition, the highly mobile hydrogenis quickly distributed throughout the oil, providing an early and reliable fault signature.
NI cRIO excels at timely and accurate low-level hydrogen measurements. When installed onyour critical transformers, NI cRIO provides the earliest possible fault detection, andallows accurate real-time monitoring of subsequent fault evolution.
This unique hydrogen measurement technology requires no calibration and is field-proven to prevent equipment failure and extend transformer life.
Hydrogen Monitoring
Carbon monoxide is a by-product of cellulose degradation. Although generated inall transformers under normal operating conditions, anomalous amounts of carbonmonoxide may be generated when localized cellulose overheating occurs. NI cRIOprovides a dependable measurement of the CO baseline, and will alarm on a suddenincrease of CO concentration. Timely follow-up with laboratory DGA and furan analysiswill enable early detection of accelerated aging of solid insulation, beforesignificant and irreversible damage is incurred.
The TMS collects data from remote transformers with communication interface(GPRS/CDMA) to provide daily usage, total usage, real time data and long-term datamanagement, automatic report generation, energy accounting & graphicalrepresentation of transformer on GIS at centralized Data Center
