Flight News R o c k y M o u n t a i n H e l i c o p t e r s , Inc . continues to expand its national customer base with a list of new customer hospitals that include Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, West Virginia; Uni- versity of West Virginia, University Hospital, Inc., Morgantown, West Vir: ginia; Sioux Valley Hospital's Intensive Air Fleet, Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Rocky Mountain's first Augusta 109A contract); North Carolina Baptist Hospital's new service, Air Care, Winston-Salem, North Carolina (Rocky Mountain Helicopter's first Bell 222UT contract); and Iowa City, (Iowa) Hospital and Clinic's new part- nership with RMH will provide the program with two AS350B A-Stars start- ing in June 1986.

In addition to its medical group service centers in Reno, Denver, Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Atlanta, regional customer service centers are being developed in Charleston, West Virginia (Mid-Atlantic Region), and Omaha, Nebraska {North- Central Region), to provide direct man- agement and maintenance support for Rocky Mountain Helicopter hospital clients.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Life Flight will celebrate eight years of service in 1986. In 1985, Life Flight had 1725 Nghts with a monthly average of 140 patients. Members of Life Flight established the Pennsylvania chapter of ASHBEAMS in 1984. The program currently operates an Allouette III and a Twin Star and staffs their flights with two flight nurses.

Omniflight Helicopters is pleased to announce their newest hospital program. Based at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, a Bell 206 L-2 began operating in January 1986. Prior to that date, the program was operated by the state of Illinois who utilized the aircraft for multi-operational purposes. Called Life Flight, the program staff is comprised of a flight nurse and one physician/respi- ratory therapist/paramedic depending on the patient need.

Mercy Air Ambulance, based at Mercy Medical in Redding is pleased to announce their new rotor-craft addition to their already active transport program. The program began in 1971, transporting patients by fixed-wing and ambulances. An Aerospatiale A-Star will be utilized, and the crew mix will include one flight nurse and either an EMT or second nurse, depending on the patient needs.
