Goal: This MSc aims to equip students with the skills of a civil construction engineer, developing advanced

knowledge of civil engineering and associated engineering and scientific disciplines (structure dynamics,

sustainable building design, transportation, geotechnics, water supply and drainage, environmental,

planning and construction). They gain an awareness of the context in which engineering operates, in terms

of design, construction and the environment, together with transferable skills leading to careers in the

construction industry.

In this degree, students will develop original work in a specific

field, through a project, a dissertation or an internship.

This MSc covers all the major areas of civil engineering,

reflecting the broad range of expertise available within the

Department and its strong links with the engineering

profession.

There is a strong emphasis on developing skills within a

teamwork environment, equipping the students for the

subsequent professional practice.

ACCESS CONDITIONS

Who can apply to the Master’s Degree: a) Holders of an undergraduate degree or a legal equivalent in Civil Engineering, and related technological fields; b) Holders of a higher education diploma, granted after a first cycle of studies, under the principles of the Bologna Process, by a State, which has subscribed this process, in Civil Engineering, and related technological fields; c) Holders of a higher education diploma that is recognized as meeting the objectives of an undergraduate degree by the Technical and Scientific Council of the School of Technology and Management, in Civil Engineering, and related technological fields; d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as certifying the skills to attend this cycle of studies by the Technical and Scientific Council of the School of Technology and Management.
