Thank you for your faithful Stewardship of our Parish and for
your generous donations.
From Father Ramiro:
Holy Child, whom the shepherds and the kings and the
beasts adored, be born again. Wherever there is boredom,
wherever there is fear of failure, wherever there is tempta-
tion too strong to resist, wherever there is bitterness of
heart, come, you blessed one, with healing in your hands.
Savior, be born in each of us who raises his face to your
face, not knowing fully who he is or who you are, know-
ing only that you love is beyond his knowing and that no
other has the power to make him whole. Come, Lord Je-
sus, to each who longs for you, even though he has forgot-
ten your name. Come quickly. Merry Christmas to all of
you.
ven Nino Jesús y cura nuestras enfermedades.
levantamos nuestra mirada hacia ti, aunque no te conozca-
Ven Niño Jesús a quienes anhelan y desean tu amor inclu-
sive aquellos quienes te han olvidado. Ven no tardes tan-
to.
FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT DECEMBER 20TH & 21ST
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year As we celebrate the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ, we
pray that the Prince of Peace may bring peace to our world
that is filled with vengeance, division and suffering. May
the Son of God help us to overcome these obstacles to
peace and replace them with mercy, communion and
healing.

Did you Know? The liturgical color for Advent is purple, just like Lent—as both
are seasons that prepare us for great feast days. Also Advent (like
Lent) includes an element of penance in the sense of preparing,
quieting and disciplining our hearts for the full joy of Christmas.
This penitential dimension is expressed through the color purple,
but also through the restrained manner of decorating the church
and altar: "During Advent the floral decoration of the altar should
be marked by a moderation suited to the character of this time of
year, without expressing in anticipation the full joy of the Nativity
of the Lord…[also] the use of the organ and other musical instru-
ments should be marked by a [similar] moderation…" (GIRM n.
305 and n. 313)
GOSPEL MEDITATION
Today we celebrate the birth of our Savior. Reflecting on today’s
Gospel, spend a few minutes imagining what it would be like to
visit Jesus as the shepherds did.

“[W]e are facing an enormous and dramatic clash between good
and evil, death and life, the ‘culture of death’ and the ‘culture of
life’. We find ourselves not only ‘faced with’ but necessarily ‘in the
midst of’ this conflict: we are all involved and we all share in it,
with the inescapable responsibility of choosing to be unconditional-
ly pro-life.” - Pope John Paul II
