The Washington apple market is steady on all sizes and varieties. Transportation has lightened up. The Washington Bartlett season is coming to an end, with only a few suppliers left with light supplies. Chilean Bartletts are peaking on 90/100 counts, with slight scarring, but overall good quality.
Mexico supplies have slowly improved so markets are steady. California continues with limited volume. Quality is good.
Supplies are plentiful out ofMexico. Markets are starting tosteady. Quality is good. Californiaproduct has started, but is limited.
Green bell supplies are plentifulout of mainland MX and quality is excellent. Red and Yellow bellshave steady volume out of Mexico causing markets to come off slightly.
Broccoli market looks to remain steady. The quality has been great with minimal dehydration or yellowing. Cauliflower market remains steady and the quality is fair to good.
Strawberry supply this week will continue to be limited as volume is down due to cooler temps in ALL West Coast growing areas. Rain and colder temps expected in Oxnard and Santa Maria over the next 7-10 days.
Blueberry supply has been steady from both Mexico and Chile; supply, quality and price should remain steady over the next few weeks. Blackberries and raspberries have lower available volume at this time and for the next few weeks with cooler temps expected in Central Mexico & California regions.

The Idaho market is starting to wind down, with most suppliers looking to end in mid April. Transportation has eased up. Cooler weather in Mexico has caused light supplies crossing into the U.S. Quality is good.
The offshore market is steady on cantaloupe and honeydew heavier to larger sizes on both. Look for sugar leaves to improve as the season progresses.
The Idaho market is soft, and demand is light on all sizes of cartons potatoes. Transportation has gotten a lot better, and quality is good overall. The colored potato market out of all shipping points is steady and peaking on A sized spuds. Quality is good.
Tomato supplies out of CentralMexico are steady. Prices have comeoff and quality is excellent. Vine ripesout of mainland MX are in goodsupply. Roma supplies are plentifuland quality is excellent. Supplies ongrape & cherry tomatoes improveas well, but grape supplies are moreavailable than cherry. Quality isgood. Markets are steady.
Lemons: Lemon market is very active. Demand continues at a strong pace and is exceeding supplies. The Central Valley crop has just begun to harvest and pack. The Ventura crop will not start until the end of February. Demand is exceeding supplies on 165s and smaller and will continue into February.
Oranges: We are seeing peak sizing of 56s/72s/88s. Percentage of 113s/138s continue to fall off in pack outs. The market remains active on 113s/138s both grades. Larger sizes are peaking for the balance of the navel season. Small fruit will be in short supply all season.
Iceberg Lettuce: Market has remained unchanged with most suppliers. Supplies exceed demand. Expect very good availability throughout the week. Some issues on this commodity include blister and epidermal peel, misshapen heads and mechanical.
Leaf Lettuce: Blister and epidermal peel reported on romaine (4-6 leaves in depth). Red and green leaf, blistering reported as well. Twisting, mechanical, tip burn and insect damage is also being reported on all romaine and mixed leaf items. Romaine hearts will have steady availability throughout the week.
