SECTIONAL GARAGE DOOR

g30

Protective covers shieldthe moving partsof the door through the complete opening and closing cycle.

Door rollers are positioned away from areas where fingers can easily reach them

The g30 is one of the safest garage doors ever made, surpassingexisting European requirements and designed from the start tomeet the next generation of CEN safety standards.

Created to be safe for all the family, the door has panel joints whichare shaped to push wayward fingers away from danger as the dooropens and closes.

Designed and developed in Scandinavia, the g30 is arevolution in garage door design.During 3 years of research, investigation and designwork, we've listened to homeowners and garage doorinstallers, safety professionals and security professionalsand we've used our experience to create a garage doorwhich we believe gives you more value for your money

So, what's the secret?Like all sectional garage doors the g30 consists ofhorizontal panels which rise vertically then glidehorizontally into the garage, requiring the minimum ofeffort to open and close.

However, this is where the similarity to other doorsends. The g30 has a host of secrets, designed to give youincreased safety, more warmth and strength, morebeauty and more space, all with the simplicity of gooddesign.

The SECRETS are in the detail

SECRET 1 Safety

Offset door rollers keepthem out of harms way

Page 3: g30 Brochure Dec04

Warmth and strengthSingle sized g30 doors have a panel depth of 32 mm, up to 60% more than other doors in the same class.Doubles (over 3 metres wide) are 42 mm deep. This gives a strong, stable door panel with enough insulation for a Scandinavian winter.

An in-built 'air gap' between the inside and outside skins gives a broken cold bridge. This provides improved insulation and prevents thebuild up of condensation in the door. All round weatherproofing completes the superb insulation.

A revolutionary ventilation system is built into the full width of thebottom rubber weatherseal. If you require air to circulate in yourgarage, the vents can be left open. If not, they can be closed. Simple.

And unlike other sectional doors, which have the handle towards theside edge of the door, the g30 handle is positioned in the middle.Thismeans that the door is opened and closed from the centre - thecorrect and easiest position, ensuring the door runs smoothly andevenly into the opening.

The g30 is available in 3 stylish designs:Georgian,Ribbed and the new, unique Ellipse style. There's a choice of either fully finished White orBrown colour, requiring only the occasional wash to keep the doorlooking like new. Or, if you prefer, the door can be supplied in a'primed' coat, ready for you to paint to match the existing colourscheme of your home.

If you want your door supplied in a RAL colour of your choice, wecan do that too. All you need to do is provide the RAL number andwe'll factory paint your door in a 30% gloss finish to suit.

SECRET 3

We've given a breath of fresh air to garage door skin design.Traditional fake woodgrain and stucco patterns are long past theirsell-by dates. The Henderson g30 has a beautiful and unique new skinfeaturing small triangular patterns, designed to catch the beauty ofnatural light.

A prominent Scandinavian design company has re-invented thegarage door handle, using concepts from the automobile industry togive superb style and easy use.

Traditional sectional door handles, which are gripped and turned to open, can be difficult for some people to use. The g30 handleworks in the direction of the door movement - simply lift the handleup to open and pull the handle down to close.

Real Beauty

The SECRETS are in the detail

Page 5: g30 Brochure Dec04

The g30 gives you more of the 'daylight opening' to your garage, making life easier for owners of MPV and 4 wheel drive vehicles andideal for garages where the roof is low.

In addition, the door can be installed where there is only 70mmclearance on either side, making the g30 perfect for even the smallestgarage and ideal for replacing an old up and over door.

SECRET 4

Ellipse style in fully finished white

More Space SECRET 5Simplicity

An important principle in designing the g30 was the drive to 'keep itsimple'. The result is that the door has the minimum number ofdifferent fixing items and can be fitted with the minimum number oftools. No more fiddling for spanners or socket heads of differentsizes. Fewer tools means less hassle and fewer different fixingsmeans true simplicity of design.

5

Page 6: g30 Brochure Dec04

The window surround is supplied in white if the door colour is whiteand in black if the door is any other colour. If you've ever had to leave the warmth of your car to open the garagedoor on a cold, wet or windy day, you can probably appreciate theluxury a remote control system could add to your life.

Order your g30 with a Henderson remote control system and thisluxury will be yours. Simply press a button and drive into anilluminated garage before closing the door behind you - all from thewarmth and safety of your car. We've created a unique g30 remotecontrol package, including 2 handsets to make this luxury possible ata surprisingly low price.

The g30 is available with a range of optional extras and accessories, from virtually any colour your imagination can create to a remotecontrol system which will add a touch of luxury to your life.

Each of the 3 door styles is available in a choice of white or brownpolyester paint finish as standard (brown finish costs slightly more).Your door will be fully finished, with no further painting required andonly an occasional wash with warm water needed to keep it lookinglike new.

If you want to paint your door to match the existing colour schemeof your home or if you want your imagination to run riot, we cansupply your g30 in a 'primed' finish, ready for you to paint to yourchosen colour scheme. Alternatively we can factory paint your doorto any RAL colour you choose. Your door will be supplied in a 30%gloss finish, ensuring a crisp colour without the 'glare' of a high glossfinish.

If you wish to maximise the natural daylight in your garage, the g30can be factory fitted with vision windows in the top panel section.

For security way beyond the norm, the g30 can be fitted with a HighSecurity anti-burglar kit. This kit adds even greater protection to theside track to prevent virtually any attempt to attack the door and togive you even greater peace of mind about the security of yourproperty and possessions. In addition, a remote control packageprovides upgraded security to the garage door.

When replacing your old garage door with a new g30, you can alsoupdate the side entrance door to the garage. Each of the three styleshave matching side doors, available in colours to match.

The RIGHT SIZE

To fit a g30 door behind the brickwork opening

Measure the brickwork opening width (A) and height (B). Ensure youhave adequate sideroom, headroom and clear space (depth) into thegarage. The space required is determined by the operating gearchosen. See the table below for details.

To fit a g30 door to a timber frame within the brickworkopening

Measure the brickwork opening width (A) and height (B). Subtractthe required side and headroom (as shown below) and install atimber frame to suit. For example, a door with standard tension gearwill require a timber frame of minimum nominal 3”x 3” (70mm x70mm) size for the frame legs and 6”x 3” (150mm x 70mm) for theframe head.

Garage doors are not always straightforward to install and Henderson recommend that you use a recognisedtradesperson to measure for and install your new door. To help you understand the size of garage door which is right foryour property, use the following guidelines.

The Henderson g30 sectional door can be fitted either to a goodquality timber frame or direct to sound brickwork and can be fittedeither within or behind the brickwork opening. If fitted within thebrickwork opening, the door must be fitted to a timber frame.

When measuring the garage opening, always measure from more thanone point as the brickwork may not be consistent. Always ensure thereis sufficient internal clearance in the garage for the door to be installedand operate fully.
