Winter 7C to 16C
Spring 12C to 22C
WHAT TOBRING
Most South Australians dress informally, although
reasonable dress standards are maintained in
restaurants, hotels and bars. Around the coast youll
enjoy a temperate climate with lightweight clothing
suitable in summer and spring, and warmer clothing in
winter and autumn. Lightweight clothing is suitable
year round in the Outback where day time is much
warmer, however nights can get extremely cold in
winter so always ensure you pack something warm. To
ensure adequate protection from the sun we suggest
you bring a broad-brimmed hat, SPF 30+ sunscreen,
sunglasses and a long sleeved shirt with a collar.
DRIVING
Driving conditions in South Australia are varied. Take
care when travelling in remote areas during summer, as
temperatures in Outback Australia can reach over
40C. Avoid driving after dark as cattle and wildlife
often congregate alongside Outback highways at night.
Major roads on Kangaroo Island are sealed, however
the majority are unsealed and require reduced speed
and caution. Travellers should drive at a speed that
suits the road, vehicle and weather conditions.
BEACH SAFETY
Australia has some of the worlds best beaches, howevercare and caution should be exercised at all times. Please
remember to swim between the red and yellow flags and
listen to instructions from lifesavers and lifeguards.
CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE
We want your holiday to be memorable for all the right
reasons, so its comforting to know that if things dont
go exactly to plan, our Customer Care team is here to
help you. If you need assistance once your holiday has
started, please contact our Customer Care helpline.

a calendar full of exciting events and festivals, Adelaide has it all!
Experience the food and wine that the city is renowned for in Rundle, Hutt or Gouger Streets,or OConnell and Melbourne Streets in North Adelaide. The Parade, in Norwood is just ten
minutes from the city centre and is alive with cafs, Italian and Thai restaurants, pubs and
more.
For some retail therapy try Rundle Mall for boutiques, specialty shops and major department
stores or for a one off piece go to King William Road at Hyde Park and The Parade at
Norwood. Visit the art galleries, museums and libraries along North Terrace for an insight into
the citys culture.
Take the tram to Glenelg, Adelaide's most popular beach destination. Its always buzzing with
people enjoying the sand and sea, foreshore parks and summer entertainment. Stroll along
the jetty or browse through the hundreds of shops and dining at sidewalk cafs along Jetty
Road.
From Adelaide, its an easy half hour drive to the wineries and picturesque villages of the
Adelaide Hills. Enjoy a scenic drive, go bushwalking or play a round of golf. One visit to the
Adelaide Hills and youll know why it has inspired so many artists the picturesque farmlands
and charming villages look like they were meant to be painted. Visit The Cedars, formerly the
home of the famous Australian artist, Sir Hans Heysen. Lose yourself among the craft shops
and cafs or take a drive into the countryside and sample freshly picked fruit and vegetables
from a roadside stall and delicious wine at one of the local wineries.
No visit to the Adelaide Hills is complete without exploring the famous town of Hahndorf,
Australias oldest surviving German settlement. Theres still a strong German flavour in
Hahndorf, most evident in the German bakeries that line the bustling main street. Near
Hahndorf, you can pick your own strawberries at Beerenberg, and visit several good winery
cellar doors in the area.
The Adelaide Hills provide the perfect place for a relaxing and refreshing holiday.
