indoor pollution and otherhealth hazards.Shri Pradhan said thatPMUY aims at replacingthe polluting cooking fuelsmostly used in rural areaswith more clean andefficient LPG. He said, thatnearly 90 lakh LPGconnections have beenreleased to needy familiesunder the scheme and the'Pahal Yojna', anotherscheme initiated by thePetroleum Ministry whichhas received worldwideacclaim.
