Welcome to the 2011-2012 Cooney Club and Activities Catalog! One Lunch allows students to receive academic support from teachers and peers, to participate in clubs or intramural sports, as well as to catch up with their friends. At its core, One Lunch is really about relationships. We know that students who develop positive relationships within their school community are stronger academically, socially and emotionally. We are hopeful that this schedule will promote a rigorous, inclusive and welcoming learn-ing environment for all students. To create this type of culture, it is imperative that students involve themselves with the myriad opportunities presented within this catalog. We offer clubs to suit all interests. From knitting to Span-ish, or from robotics to art, these clubs exist to meet the diverse interests our students bring with them to school. New clubs are constantly being added, some of which have been added since the publication of this catalog. If you don’t see a club to match your interest, bring it to the attention of the administration and we will strive to create it. Joining a club is simple. All that needs to be done is to contact the advisor who oversees the organization and express your interest in becoming a member. Thank you for your interest in OHS clubs and activities. We look forward to your participation and investment in our school! Carolyn Neureuther Associate Principal/Activities Director
