Summery
The dramatic increase of data volumes to be handled by exploration/production and the growing demand of data integration and optimized workflows requires strong focus in information life cycle management. Information management in mature oil field requires strong coordination of all asset teams and has the additional challenge of very long time series of (sometime almost) complete data GIS Technologies can bring enormous strategic, tactical and operational support in asset monitoring, data gathering and visualization Emerging technologies – especially smart devices for data gathering, monitoring and reporting – will support domain expert teams in field operations.
