Vedangs/ वेदांग Limbs of Veda/वेदों के अगं
वेदाङ्ग हहन्दू धमथ ग्रन्र् हैं। वेदार्थ ज्ञाि में सहायक शास्त्र को ही वेदांग कहािाता है। लशक्षा, कल्प, व्याकरण, ज्योनतष, छन्द और निरूक्त - ये छः वेदांगहै।Vedanga is a Hindu religion book. The only scripture helpful
in Vedarth knowledge is called Vedang. Siksha, kalpa,
vyakaran, Jyotish, Chhand and nirukta - these are the six
vedangs.

लशक्षा - इसमें वेद मन्रों के उच्िारण करिे की ववचध बताई गई है। स्त्वर एवं वणथ आहद के उच्िारण-प्रकार की िहााँ लशक्षा दी िाती हो, उसे लशक्षा कहा िाता है। इसका मुख्य उद्येश्य वेद मन्रों के अववकि यर्ाजस्त्र्नत ववशदु्ध उच्िारण ककये िािे का है। लशक्षा का उद्भव और ववकास वैहदक मन्रों के शदु्ध उच्िारण और उिके द्वारा उिकी रक्षा के उदेश्य से हुआ है।
Siksha- It explains the method of pronouncing the Vedas. Where education is given for pronunciation-type of vowels and letters etc., it is called Siksha. Its main objective is to pronounce the unbroken status quo of Veda mantras purely. Siksha has originated and developed with the pure pronunciation of Vedic mantras and the purpose of protecting them.

कल्प- वेदों के ककस मन्र का प्रयोग ककस कमथ में करिा िाहहये, इसका कर्ि ककया गया है। इसकी तीि शाखायें हैं- श्रौतसरू, गहृ्यसरू और धमथसरू। कल्प वेद-प्रनतपाहदत कमों का भिीभााँनत वविार प्रस्त्तुत करिे वािा शास्त्र है। इसमें यज्ञ सम्बन्धी नियम हदये गये हैं।
Kalpa- Which mantra of Vedas should be used in which karma. It has three branches - Shrutasutra, Grihyasutra and Dharmasutra. Kalpa is a scripture presenting well thought out Veda-propounded deeds. In this, rules related to sacrifice are given.

व्याकरण- इससे प्रकृनत और प्रत्यय आहद के योग से शब्दों की लसद्चध और उदात्त, अिुदात्त तर्ा स्त्वररत स्त्वरों की जस्त्र्नत का बोध होता है। व्याकरण वेदों का मखु भी कहा िाता है।
Vyakaran- By this, the sum of the nature and suffix etc. gives the sense of the words and the position of the sublime, unspoken and vowel. The Vyakaran is also called the mouth of the Vedas.

निरुक्त - वेदों में जिि शब्दों का प्रयोग जिि-जिि अर्ों में ककया गया है, उिके उि-उि अर्ों का निश्ियात्मक रूप से उल्िेख निरूक्त में ककया गया है। इसे वेद पुरुष का काि कहा गया है। इसे वेद की आत्मा भी कहा गया है।
Nirukta - Those meanings of the words used in the Vedas, those meanings are definitely mentioned in Nirukta. It has been called the ear of Ved Purush. It has also been called the soul of the Vedas.

ज्योनतष- इससे वैहदक यज्ञों और अिुष्ठािों का समय ज्ञात होता है। यहााँ ज्योनतष से मतिब `वेदांग ज्योनतष´ से है। यह वेद पूरुष का िेर मािा िाता है।
Jyotish- This helps to know the time of Vedic Yajnaand rituals. Here astrology means 'Vedang Jyotish'. This Veda is considered the eye of the Purush.

छन्द - वेदों में प्रयुक्त गायरी, उजष्णक आहद छन्दों की रििा का ज्ञाि छन्दशास्त्र से होता है। इसे वेद पुरुष का पैर कहा गया है।
Chhanda - Knowledge of the composition of Gayatri, Ushnik etc. verses used in the Vedas is known through Chhandasastra. It has been called the foot of the Vedas.

Ashram system/आश्रम व्यवस्त्र्ाThe ashram system was established in the later Vedic period. Ashram meansresting after doing labor. Only 3 ashrams are mentioned in the ChandogyaUpanishad. The word Varna is first mentioned in the male Sukta of the 10thmandal of the Rig-Veda. While the term caste is first used in the form ofKrishna caste in the Nirukta of Maharishi Yask.
उत्तर वैहदक काि में आश्रम व्यवस्त्र्ा स्त्र्ावपत हुई। आश्रम का अर्थ – श्रम करिेके बाद ववश्राम करिा। छांदोग्य उपनिषद में केवि 3 आश्रमों का उल्िेखलमिता है। वणथ शब्द का उल्िेख सवथप्रर्म ऋग्वेद के 10वें मण्डि के पुरूषसूक्त में हुआ है। िबकक िानत शब्द का प्रयोग सवथप्रर्म महवषथ यास्त्क केनिरूक्त में कृष्ण िानत के रूप में हुआ है।
