How Can You Help?
Pray for the children who receive a box, for their families, and for those who share Jesus with them.
Pack a Box. Brochures and boxes will be available at the Glocal Missions Center on our Anniversary Sunday, October 6th. The boxes will come unassembled with instructions. Sponsor a Box. For $30.00, someone will shop and pack a box for you. Envelopes will also be available that Sunday at the Glocal Missions Center for your donations. We will have a special collection day for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes on Sunday, November 10th. We ask that you bring your filled shoeboxes to the Worship Center that day and keep them with you. During the service, our children and youth will collect them and place them at the altar.

Ladies Bible Study Opportunities
Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 a.m. beginning September 17th in Room
216. This study is led by Immie Ziemer, a retired Wycliffe missionary and
biblical scholar. The study will continue in the Gospel of John and will
conclude late November and resume in early Spring. All ladies are invited.
Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:15 p.m. in Room 209. This study is led by
Lynn Jauch. All ladies are invited.
Baby Shower Invitation You are invited to a couples baby shower for John and Meagan Keown. Please

John is the son of Jim and Cathy Keown. Meagan is the daughter of Tim and

Children’s Ministry Volunteer Meeting: There will be a meeting for all Children's Ministry volunteers (Nursery, Sunday School, Kingdom Kids and Wednesday night volunteers) this Sunday, September 15th, at 4:00 p.m. in Room 216 to discuss training, curriculum, and classroom management. Please make plans to attend. If you are unable to attend, please let me know. Pumpkin Patch Party: Please join us at Antioch Baptist Church on Saturday, October 12th, at 10:00 a.m. for a fun time of pumpkin finding, inflatable jumping, and many more fun activities. There is plenty to do for all ages, so bring the whole family! Sign up at the Family Connection Center. Trunk or Treat: Trick or treat, it is time for something sweet! Our Trunk or Treat is right around the corner. It will be on Thursday, October 31st, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Please sign up at the Family Connection Center if you can provide a trunk. We would love to see fun, biblical trunks with our theme which will be announced soon. If you would like to donate candy, pretzels, or small trinkets as treats to give away, please look for the orange bucket in the Glocal Missions Center (where the old coffee station used to be).
As we prepare to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Covenant, we're asking you to search for items of nostalgia to be used for displays and a slideshow. Items could be pictures (digital), old t-shirts, signage, or other items that are related to COVENANT! Please label any items you would like to have returned to you. We need these ASAP. Please bring any physical items to Conference Room B (in the office area). If you have photos, please email them to [email protected].
Virginia Creeper Trail - Saturday, November 2nd We can’t wait to return to the Virginia Creeper Trail this Fall. The Creeper is a “Rails to Trails” trail in Damascus, Virginia and is a very easy and enjoyable ride for anyone. We will leave from the church parking lot at 6:00 a.m. Please arrive at 5:45 a.m. to load up the bus/van. We will provide breakfast, but you will need snacks for the trail. Located on the trail is a church that provides hotdogs and hot chocolate for a donation. At the bottom of the trail, there is a cute little coffee shop that sells treats and hot chocolate. We will eat dinner at Cracker Barrel (dutch treat) on the way home. We expect to return between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. When you sign up at the Family Ministry Connection Center, please specify if you will be bringing your own bike or renting one. The prices for kids/adults who bring their bikes will be $15/$20. Prices for kids/adults who rent a bike will be $20/$25. We can’t wait to head back to this beautiful trail.
Parents Meeting Parents of youth and children, we will have our bi-annual parent meeting on Sunday, September 22nd, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. At this meeting, we will discuss upcoming family ministry events and have a time of prayer and encouragement for you.
Youth Small Groups We are so excited to be starting small groups for youth (6th-12th grades). These
meetings will be held at different members’ homes from 4:00-5:00 p.m. every
Sunday afternoon beginning Sunday, September 29th. An informational flyer about
this new ministry is located at the Family Ministry Connection Center outside of
the Worship Center.

You will see below that Franklin Graham is going to be making a stop in Charlotte soon with the “Decision America” tour. Their organization is going to be offering some evangelism training that would be beneficial for any believer. Who better to learn personal evangelism from than a group associated with Billy Graham!!! There is a little secret in the Christian world that is not popular to talk about, and that is most professing Christians have never shared their faith with anyone. We are loading up the church bus on Monday the 23rd (details below). Take off work an hour early and come learn evangelism from the best around!!! At least pray about it, countless souls are at stake… I love you guys and I’m praying for you! DECISION AMERICA TOUR - CHARLOTTE - OCTOBER 12th
Franklin Graham is coming to the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte to saturate North Carolina with the Good News of Jesus Christ. How can you be involved?
PRAY: There will be a group prayer meeting on Tuesday, September 17th, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Charlotte.
ENGAGE: Join in the Christian Life & Witness Course. Before the Franklin Graham Decision America Tar Heel State Tour this October, the Christian Life and Witness Course will equip you with practical ways to tell others about Jesus Christ and pray with those who want to make a decision for Him-during the event or on your own. Covenant will take a group to Charlotte for training on Monday, September 23rd. The bus will leave at 4:00 p.m. Bring money for a quick fast food supper on the way. Sign up at the Connection Center to reserve your spot.
ATTEND: Invite friends to attend the BIG event on Saturday, October 12th, at 4:00 p.m. There will be live music by Jeremy Camp, prayer, and a special message from Franklin Graham.
