Principal’s Report
What an absolute privilege it was to attend the Remembrance Day Ceremony last Friday with our student leaders. The Ceremony was well supported and extremely respectful to the families who have paid the supreme sacrifice during the many conflicts in which Australia has participated.
As the year is coming to an end, I would like to congratulate our fabulous school leaders for their excellent work and dedication to Glen Innes Public School. They have been brilliant role models and I am very proud to have worked with them leading our school.
Last Thursday I had the very important and rewarding task of being a Master Chef Judge along with Mrs Jerrett, Mrs Clibborn and Mr Meehan. Congratulations to all the students who participated and thank you to Mrs Young for organising the event.
This Friday and Saturday I will be attending a Cultural Camp for our Aboriginal students at “The Willows”. The camp has been organised by the Aboriginal Land Council and Mrs Potter, our wonderful Aboriginal Education Officer. I am looking forward to meeting local people and learning more about the rich cultural background of the Ngoorabul people.

Junior Red Cross 2016 Fundraiser
Wednesday 16th November the Junior Red Cross will be holding a coin line. This is our fundraiser for the year and we will be using the funds raised to help the Australian Red Cross with their work with disaster relief in Australia. Students are asked to bring a gold coin to add to the coin line on Wednesday morning.
