GOLF EVENTS
2019
GOLF COURSE POLICY
GOLF COMMITTEE
1. We establish as basic policy an objective pace of play of four hours for the rounds of golf played on our golf course. 2. Reservations are required to insure a tee time. Owner members and Owner spouses may reserve tee times two weeks in advanc e. 3. All players must register in the golf shop prior to teeing off. All players must start on the first tee unless otherwise approved by the golf shop. 4. Members are responsible for signing in their guests in the guest register located in the golf shop prior to teeing off. 5. Proper golf attire must be worn at all times. Tank tops, halter tops, short shorts (shorts must be mid -thigh), and cut-off shorts are prohibited. Wearing denim will be permitted in the bar area at any time and in the dining room only during Thursday Family Night dinners. However, denim that is torn, ripped, excessively faded or has holes is prohibited, as are hip-hugger styles. Management reserves the right to determine if denim attire is in good taste. Members are responsible for ensuring that their family members and guests adhere to the dre ss code as well. The dress code is in effect for all outside parties: persons booking such events are expected to advise their guests accordin gly. 6. Members are encouraged to form foursomes on the first tee. 7. Fivesomes are permitted at any time providing they are capable of proper pace of play. 8. Repair all ball marks, replace divots, rake bunkers after use, and obey all signs for use of carts. 9. Practicing is not permitted on the golf course. 10. Adjusted scores must be entered into the handicap computers located in the respective locker rooms after the completion of play. Failure to do so may result in posting of a score equal to the lowest of the player’s last 20 rounds. Scores will be posted during th e CDGA posting season only. No LOCAL winter rounds can be posted in our company system. However, ALL rounds played from Nov. 1—March 31 at other courses (example: Florida, Arizona, Mexico etc.) MUST be posted in the CDGA handicap system. 11. Any rounds played in tournaments at McHenry Country Club will be posted by the Pro Shop. 12. Sign up sheets for upcoming events will be posted in the locker room two to three weeks prior to the event. 13. Some events have limited openings and when filled, a waiting list will be established to replace possible cancellations.
GUEST POLICY: Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays are limited to one
guest before 10:00 A.M. and a maximum of four
guests after 10:00 A.M. On weekdays, one member
may bring up to seven guests or a maximum of two
members in the same party may each bring seven
guests without Board approval.
No Guest may play more than 4 rounds per year.
MEMBER OUTING POLICY: Requests for member outings must be submitted to
the Chairman of the Golf Committee far enough in
advance of such events for them to be forwarded to
the Board of Directors for approval. The Board gen-
erally meets once a month. Events will be priced to
