Good morning Year 2!
It's Monday morning SPaG time. Today we are looking at comparatives; words used to compare.
These words are formed by adding two different suffixes (er and est).

Adjectives describe nouns.
We can add the er suffix to compare:
The chocolate was nicer than any other.

We can also add the suffix est to say something is the best (or worst):
The chocolate was the nicest he had ever

It doesn't always work!!
Sometimes we have to put the most or the
least before the adjective, this is usually
with longer adjectives:
It was the most delicious chocolate he
had ever tasted!

On the next page is a list of words, first add the er suffix to them then the est suffix to complete the table. The first one has been done for you.
Then choose 3 of the words and put them into a sentence.
