CHCS
PROS CONS
Users only allowed access to information they need to perform their jobs, so patient’s private information is not available to unauthorized personnel
Easy access to patient medical information throughout the entire DOD system
E-script capability for prescriptions
Not as easy to use as other systems
Since there are three different systems that work together and all are owned by different companies it is more expensive to update than a single system
Intercom Plus• The patient, drug, and prescriber information is entered
into the system and double checked. • Leaflets are made and placed on appropriately sized
bottle.• You can also use Intercom Plus to refill prescriptions and
lookup patient records from any Walgreens nationwide.• A great feature about this system is that you can note
the customers allergies in the system and when they have a prescription (new or old) it will automatically check it to make sure it will not affect the customer, it also makes sure that no prescriptions counter act with each other.
Intercom Plus• Pre-Scribe- electronic prescriptions. • With Pre-Scribe a physician, via online, can send over a
prescription to the pharmacy and it is automatically entered into the system all they have to do is check and fill it.
• Pre-Scribe cuts down on a lot of errors made from misreading the physicians handwriting.
