Specifically, Marathon requests to modify Pipeline Segment Number (PSN) 17740. The pipeline MAOP lowered from 10,000 psig to 8,000 psig based on recent hydrotest procedure conducted March 21, 2017. The pipeline was hydrotested to 10,000 psig for 8 hours.

Gentlemen:
By this letter, Marathon Oil Company (Marathon, GOM Operator No. 00724) is submitting a modification request to lower the current MAOP of the Droshky Field pipelines based upon a new hydrotest. The referenced hydrotest was performed on March 21, 2017.
Droshky is a subsea field developed with four producing wells operated by Marathon and located in Green Canyon Block 244 (OCS-G-11043). The field is tied back approximately 18 miles via dual looped flowlines to the Bullwinkle host platform (Green Canyon Block 65), operated by Fieldwood Energy. Production is currently routed through ROW OCS-G 28547 (SN 17740), which has riser gas lift equipment installed at the platform end ofthe line.
In June 2015, GC244 Well #4 produced slugs of sand that were eventually observed at the host piatform. The well was shut in, but some volume of sand remained in SN 17740. Attempts to flow the other active wells in the field brought this sand to the platform, and efforts in September 2015 to filter the sand prior to the separation vessels was unsuccessful.

On March 18, 2017, Marathon flushed around the pigging loop from the GC65 Platform using temporary rental pumps. Retums were taken through temporary separation vessels to remove any gas prior to being transferred to a tanker vessel. All effluent from the flowlines (oil, water, emulsified fluids, and sand) was taken to shore via the tanker for disposal.
The hydrostatic test was performed on March 21, 2017. The ROW was returned to service on April 2, 2017.
