Aim to improve post-stroke care… • The care for patients who have sustained a stroke is
sub-optimal • Increasing number of elderly with co-morbid chronic
disease suffering stroke • Radically rethink the system • Use self-management approaches to help patients and
carers better manage the life-changing impacts of stroke presents an opportunity to improve patient care in a cost effective manner.

Technology Types Suggested & of Interest….
• Many technologies have potential to provide a solution either by single application or by combining technologies in novel ways. MAGIC Consortium is particularly interested in virtual reality, augmented reality, apps, remote connection between patient & therapist, technologies to empower self-care, gamification, remote vital sign monitoring (beyond standard telecare and telehealth) and robotics.

3 Solutions will be deployed across NI & Italy. Projects tested to scale with post stroke patients. Recovery at 6 months is measured with a goal to see improvement.
