Finally they watched part of the

the one they saw outside.
Even though in the end they
realised it was actually a crane thechildren much preferred thinking it
was a dinosaur!

Beautiful Brazilian Bread!Follow the instructions from our Cooking Editor Hafsa who explains how to make
this tasty recipe!
1) Mix in the milk, oil, and salt in the
saucepan, and whisk gently. Bring it to
a gentle boil over medium heat.
Remove the pan from the heat and
add the tapioca flour.
2) Stir until the tapioca flour is mixed in.
The dough should look grainy and
sticky. Now you need beat the dough
for a few minutes until it the mixture
is smooth and has cooled enough so
that you can hold your finger inside
the dough for a few seconds.
3) Beat the eggs together in a small bowl. With the mixer blend the eggsinto the dough in two amounts.
4) With the mixer on medium, beat in
the cheese until fully blended.
5) The resulting dough will be very sticky,
stretchy and soft and will be between
cake and cook dough.
6) Using an ice cream scoop or a dinnerspoon, scoop rounded portions of the
dough into mounds on the baking
sheet. Space the mounds so they are apart. Dip your scoop in water to
prevent sticking.
7) Transfer the sheet with the puffs to an oven preheated to 450‟F and
immediately turn down the heat to 350‟F. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until
the puffs have puffed, the outsides are dry, and they are just starting to
colour. Cool briefly and eat.
Ingredients: Oil or butter, for greasing
250ml full-fat milk
½ x 250g pack unsalted butter
1 tsp salt
300g tapioca flour
2 eggs
100g Parmesan, grated

Hughenden Manor Trip
on the

we arrived.
Inside the

was sofascinating
and it
definitely gave
off an old vibe. My
group did a variety of
different activities
which were all used
in WW2, including:
coding, yarning/
knitting/sewing,
playing with World
War 2 toys, mapping
and rationing. These
were all lots of fun.
Next, we go intoeven smaller groups

extremely interesting
and very miniature.
The living room was
very homely and I
Earlier on at the end
of September, Year 6
went on a fabulous
trip to HughendenManor to expand on
our knowledge about
our Topic - World

three classes, we all
went on different
dates.
First of all, we got
split into two groups
as some of the
rooms at Hughenden
were quite miniscule.

could imagine living
there.
After lunch, we
visited a little room
to make our own
identity cards.
Next, we visited the
Walled Garden
which I personallythought was quite
green and very
regular in shape. We
did a garden quiz and
found out many
different facts.
The last stop was the
ice house, which was
split into two rooms:
the relaxation room
for soldiers in the
war and the
investigation room.Both of these rooms
were extremely fun
and full of different
activities. I even tried
a gas mask on! They
are very heavy and
uncomfortable.
Lastly, we took a very
relaxing walk to the
minibus across an
enormous field.
Our trip was great
and I would definitely
consider taking thetrip again with my
family - and I am sure
others will agree!

A big plastic bottle
Bird seed
String or wire
Scissors
Method:
Firstly, cut a medium sized hole in the bottle or pot.
Then check that if it rains the seeds won‟t fall out.
You could use a chopstick or pencil for a perch.
Finally, pour the bird seeds into the hole and hang it on the line
of string. (To repeat have multiple bottles).

One of the most
exciting things that
has happened with
this project is thefund raising by the
Hamilton
Community that has
enabled us to
provide Tutu with 2
laptops, a projector
and a screen. This
means that they cannow do ICT lessons
with at least a little
bit of technology.
We are continuing
with the Ghana
Milkshake Club for
years 5 and 6 onFridays and this will
continue to raise
funds to send over
some more ICT
equipment.
The link with our
school in Ghana is
continuing this year
and we have a groupof students from
years 5 & 6 who are
working on a
Christmas Project
to send over to our
friends at Abrepo
School in Kumasi.
We are planning to
hand make some
decorations that will
either go on a tree
at the school or be
taken home by the
students to remind
them of friends in
England.
We also have two
groups of pupils in
these year groups
who are writing
letters or planning e
-mails to individuals
at the school inGhana. These
will all go off
after the half
term break here.

Review: Tiddler
Crocheting is a bit
like knitting but
you only use one
needle (a hook).
In this article I will
explain how to
make a simple
crochet flower. If
you need help you
can watch our
video on the
internet!
First make 7
chains and join it
into a circle.
Next make 4
chains.
Now make 3
treble crochet into
the loop.
After that make 4chains and do a slip
stitch into the
loop.
Repeat this 4
times.
End with a slip
stitch in the first
chain you made.
Finally cast off
Enjoy your lovely

I hope you enjoy

On the 5th October

They went down to

different ways to act.
The lady dressed up
as a dragon, a witch

dragon cast spells
that always went

The witch stole

children went on a

Finally the wizard

Third for the Netball Team!Ella Louise shares the successes of our Year Six Netball Team who competed in a tournament
early this term.
On Saturday 17th October,
the Year 6 Netball Team
participated in a Netball
tournament at Kingsmead
Netball Centre.
They all worked together
exceptionally well and that
impacted greatly on their
opposition.
At the beginning, they
drew one and won the
rest until they lost their
6th match.
They definitely did
extremely well and that is
why they were placed 3rd
out of ten schools which
was a great achievement.
Credit to Mrs Galley-
Buxton, Mrs Brackley and
Mrs Potts for supporting
them throughout their
games.
Also big thanks to Mrs
Roberts for preparing
them in previous
practices.
“We really enjoyed the
afternoon and didn’t want it to end!” said the
team.

On the 30th
September I played in
a school football
tournament for
Hamilton Academy.
In the first match itwas very end to end.
One minute we had
the ball but the next
minute they had it. In
the end the score was
0-0.
In the second game
we started playing
much better football.
We were passing the
ball around and at one
point I slotted it
through to Joe who
finished it off with a
goal.
The games were
getting better and
better. In one match Ithrough balled it to
Dimitri and he shot. It
may or may not have
gone over the line but
Joe knocked it in just
to be sure.
Last but not least in
the final match it was
0-0 until the dying
moments when I got
the ball and passed it
to Jayden who scored.
The good news is that
we were now in the
final on the 17th
October.
This was a big
tournament againstlots of different
schools. We won lots
of times.
In the last match we
played against the
2014 winners and
were all determined
to win!
When we came out
on to the field we all
showed team spirit.
At the end of the
match we drew
against the best
players in the county.
Each player was
awarded with a
trophy. We were all
proud of each other
and ourselves.
