FROM THE DESK OF BRINY PRESIDENT
I just might start sounding like a broken record…..PLEASE if you have not submitted your ballot(s), do so now. The Annual meeting is next Wednesday February 26th at 9:30 in the Auditorium. You will absolutely need your picture Briny ID to enter. If you have chosen not to use the “limited proxy” option you must have your ballot in prior to the meeting being called to order. We will be there starting at 8:30 a.m. to receive those ballots. Hopefully you all were able to access the meetings that were scheduled all week long. (The last one is Friday at noon at the OCH.) If you still have questions, call your District Director or me. The Annual meeting will not be broadcast so I hope to see you there. It is my last meeting as President and I so look forward to celebrating the new Board of Directors with you.
If you have had the opportunity to visit the beach, surely hope you noticed that the seawall and railing onto the beach have been painted and much debris and invasive plantings removed. This was done by a group of about 20 volunteers, yes on Valentine’s day just in time for our many visitors and all of us too. Enjoy all of the family and friends who came to Briny this week to visit and bask in our wonderful weather. Briny Breezes Charity Bazaar - well the Bazaar part is mostly over but we are still working on the Charity portion. I will continue to collect personal donations until March 15. Let's see if we can exceed our very generous donations from last year. We are a very giving community. If you have misplaced your envelope- that's ok. Just put your donation into another envelope with my name Susan Brannen G-3. Receipts are being sent. Many thanks.
Respectfully, Susan Brannen, President

FROM THE DESK OF DONNA
You are amazing as a community, there is none greater than Briny! In the light of amazing, please remember one of the most important times of the year is the Annual Meeting where you vote your beliefs. It is important that EVERYONE takes the time to read the information sent out to you. If you cannot attend the meeting send in your signed and dated proxy and ballot. Even if you are attending you can bring your ballots to the office and place them in the ballot box. Of course, you can bring them with you to the meeting. If you’re mailing, do it today! We must receive your ballots by Wednesday morning prior to the start of the meeting. Do not place ballots for directors into the ballot box without BOTH yellow envelopes, one inside the other. Make sure you seal each envelope and fill out the information on the envelopes. THIS MEETING WILL NOT BE TELEVISED! PLEASE ATTEND! Every shareholder must have their badges with them. No one will be admitted without a shareholders ID badge. The annual meeting is next week Wednesday February 26, at 9:30 am. If you have questions we are here to help, come by the office or give us a call at 561-276-7408! Also each district has been holding meetings to help with the voting process. Check the bugle for the dates. These volunteers have held meetings almost every day. I am sure many of you have received calls from your neighbors to encourage you to get your vote in and counted. These volunteers will help make a difference in the voter turnout. We need to have a quorum which is 51% of the total number (15,703) shares. We need to have a minimum of 8009 shares to reach a quorum. Have a Briny Week and Please Vote! Your opinion counts!
ORIENTATION to BRINY Calling all recently approved shareholders (within the last 12-18 months) and newly approved residents (family resident guests, renters)- it is time for Orientation. You must attend one class as per the agreements you signed, so let’s not miss one. We hope and expect to see you. Here is the schedule: Saturday February 22nd at 10:00 am Wednesday March 4th at 1 pm Saturday March 28th at 10:00 am Thursday April 2nd at 1 pm Saturday April 18th at 10:00 am
All sessions are held in the Community Center. Questions please contact Susan Brannen [email protected] or drop a note in my mailbox, G3. Come with your questions- one of us should be able to answer.
NEWS FROM BRINY BREEZES OFFICE
Electrical Issues in your home

notice your stand between homes is heavily corroded, leaning or just plain in bad condition,
please notify the office.

TOWN NEWS
USING GOLF CARTS IN BRINY BREEZES Please keep driving your golf cart safely and remember the following federal and state regulations: A golf cart is ONLY permitted to cross State Road A1A at intersections and ONLY if you are using the golf cart as a mobility aid for your disability. If you use a golf cart because of your disability, you are permitted to drive it in anywhere open to pedestrian use. If you drive a golf cart on the sidewalk along A1A, you are required to give an audible signal (beep a horn or shout out) and YIELD TO PEDESTRIANS (pull over and around). You may be asked to provide “credible assurance” that you need to drive a golf cart because you are disabled, but you may NOT be asked about the nature of your disability. If you drive a street-legal golf-cart-type vehicle (SLV), the SLV must have a license plate and must drive only on the road, not the sidewalk.

CHURCH NEWS It is so good to see so many folks in church this past Sunday. There is so many people that make this service possible and we thank them all. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways. Pastor Ray Brower was the pastor for the service. Pastor Ray has been coming to Briny for around 29 years and we all appreciate his ministry to us. Thank you, Pastor, you make it so clear what the Lord will for us if we let him enter our hearts. Pastor Ray spoke to us about “Man’s Highest Activity” We are to enjoy God forever. Trust God, we will understand all things when we get to heaven. Be thankful all the time for all things. A wonderful message. The choir sang “America the Beautiful” with Paul Ruopp doing the solo. Then the quartet; Jim Carter, Caryn Dennison, Marge Kline and Eric Wolfbrandt sang the lovely “Shepherd of Love”. Thank you everyone and a big thanks to Judy Hasby, our music director. If you would like to give flowers in memory or in honor of a loved one or friend, please call Betty Foland at 315-676-7413. The service is in the auditorium each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. God loves you and so do we! ~ Betty Foland SOS-Dunes Save Our Sand-Dunes Stay off the dunes and DO NOT cross over the wall or trample dune plants. ALWAYS use one of the 5 paths. HISTORY OF BRINY, PAST & PRESENT 1930’s – 1950’s Mrs. Paul Miller (owner’s wife) put mail in the 500 boxes at the Briny post office, located in the Park office. In earlier years, the office and post office were on the ocean and old A1A where our Clubhouse is now. The mail arrived at the Delray Beach Post Office and was separated and bagged for pick-up and transferred to the Briny Office. A unique method of closing off the boxes from the rest of the room at night by means of wrought iron grills, made the boxes accessible 24 hours a day to the residents. When the mail arrived in the park, we were notified by the loud speaker on the roof of the office, “Mail is in, come and get it!” ~Submitted by Dorothy McNeice
