Holy Family church Latrobe Holy Name Society is once again selling “Keep Christ in Christmas” yard signs this
year. Cost is $50 and includes free delivery.
For more information, or to arrange delivery, contact Rick Roble at 724 989-7671.
ADVENT PENANCE SERVICE There will be confessions on Monday,
December 18, beginning at 7:00 PM here
at Holy Trinity Church. This is an excellent way to
prepare for the great and happy solemnity of
Christmas. OPLATKI (CHRISTMAS WAFER) The Christmas wafer commemorates the most unique
family celebration in Christendom perpetuated with the
full blessing of the Church - for those who observe this tradition.
Oplatki are available in the
Reservation Chapel . The cost is $3.00.
Children's Liturgy of the Word Advent 2017 Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be offered
at 11:00 AM Mass each Sunday during Advent.
Sunday, Dec. 10, 17, and 24. All children, ages 4 -11 are welcome to attend.
Attention: Parents of 7th Graders The Diocese will be confirming 8th graders every year,
so it is time to identify who our 7th graders are who will
be confirmed next year. Preparation for the sacrament will begin early in 2018 as we will not know until later in the
year when and where our students will be confirmed.
If you have a current 7th grader, please call Mrs. Carol
Serafin at 724-238-6341 and make sure that she has your child on the list for the reception of the sacrament of
Confirmation next school year when they are in 8th grade.
If your child is not confirmed with their class, they will have to prepare and be confirmed at the Cathedral on
Pentecost of 2019, so please get your child on the list to
be confirmed with their class.
CHRISTMAS TREE OF COZY COMFORT
Holy Trinity Parish will be assisting our Bethlen Com-
munities partners in helping those elderly in need by providing a basket in the Narthex of the church to collect
new or gently used (clean) hats, gloves and scarves. The
items that are placed in the basket by parishioners will
be to add to the donated items on the Christmas Tree of Cozy Comfort in the Bethlen Offices here on the Holy
Trinity Campus and then be distributed to seniors in
need. Since the Home Health and Hospice Offices are only open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday thru Fri-
day, and the majority of our parishioners are here on
weekends and in the evenings, the parish wanted to help you help those senior citizens who may not be able to
purchase a warm hat or covering for their neck or hands
this winter. Please help us provide some cozy comfort
by putting your donated items in the basket when you
attend church during the weekends prior to Christmas.

Priesthood and how to listen to God’s call in your life?

fellowship, dinner and a talk on discerning God’s call.

CHRISTMAS BASKETS
Once again this Christmas season, Holy Trinity Community Service will be preparing food baskets for those
less fortunate in our community.
Community Service will purchase the main ingredients for a Christmas meal (meat, potatoes, bread, etc.) but we need
your help in filling the baskets with extra non-perishable groceries. Many of our recipients are families with children so please help us fill these baskets to the brim!
Some suggestions for non-perishable food items (but not limited to): canned soup and fruits, peanut butter, jelly, applesauce, macaroni & cheese, cereal, Pop Tarts, cereal bars, pancake mix & syrup, pasta & sauce, cookie, muffin,
brownie or cake mix, bagged snacks (chips, pretzels, etc.) or a bag of Christmas candy!
Also, to insure the safety of our recipients please make sure that the expiration dates on your food items are current.
Please bring your grocery items to the church by 11 AM on Sunday, December 17 in order for us to distribute the baskets immediately after mass.
Thanks once again for your generosity!
Children and Family Services Appeal As you are aware, every year the second envelope at all Christmas Masses has been for those people living within
our own diocese who are less fortunate than we. This is the annual “Children and Family Services Appeal.”
On the coming Christmas Feast, which reminds us of the gift of God's own Son, Jesus Christ given to each of us without question of our merit or eligibility, we ask you to support the “Children and Family Services Appeal” and make
your contribution toward changing the future of an individual, a family or a child through the good work of Catholic
Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg.

BUT YOU’RE THE
DELIVERY SYSTEM
