Judi and Shari Zucker,known as The Double EnergyTwins, (a moniker their bookpublicist father Irwin Zuckercopyrighted for them) havemade it their mission to promotegood health and nutrition.

While cross country andtrack stars at BHHS, coached bytheir beloved Chuck Kloes (theystill hold a record in the mile)they became vegetarians andwrote their first book at 16, HowTo Survive Snack At-tacks….Naturally.

Now four books later, in-cluding The Double EnergyDiet, they’ve moved into thehot topic of children’s food al-lergies and intolerances withThe Ultimate Allergy-FreeSnack Cookbook.

The book is a response toan alarming trend. The numberof children with food allergieshas increased sharply. About 6million school-age kids in theU.S., or one of every 13, hasserious food allergies, accord-ing to the latest research pub-lished in 2011 in the AmericanAcademy of Pediatrics’ officialjournal.

A recent book signing intheir local Santa Barbara soldout in 45 minutes. Fortunatelythey had listened to their dadand packed an extra box ofbooks in their car. The book hasdrawn five-star reviews onAmazon and testimonials ontheir website, www.doubleen-ergytwins.com. They’ve alreadysold thousands of copies andhad numerous pre-orders inCanada before the book evenpublished in January.
