Procedure Please follow these directions carefully to configure your Outlook 2003 client for the first time. If you do not have an email account, please go to https://exchange.sandi.net/register to register for your SDUSD email account. Please note that the email account registration process requires one full business day to complete, after which your account should be ready to use. If you have trouble following these instructions, please call the IT Support Center at 619-725-7500.
Figure 1 To begin the setup of Outlook 2003, click Start >> Settings >> Control Panel, as illustrated in Figure 1.

Figure 2 In the Control Panel window double click the Mail icon.
Figure 3 Click on Show Profiles, to see if there are any existing Outlook profiles.

Figure 4 If you see existing profiles, as illustrated in Figure 4, select and delete them. Click Yes on the warning message that will come up (Figure 4a).

Figure 5 Now click ADD in the profile management tool (see Figure 4), and you will be prompted for a new profile name as in Figure 5. Enter a name and click OK.
Figure 6 Next will come the dialog in Figure 6, select “Add a new e-mail account” and click Next.

Figure 8 Figure 8 shows the Exchange Server settings you should use:
• Microsoft Exchange Server = prdecevs01 • User Name = your Employee ID # • Use Cached Exchange Mode = should have a check mark in it
Then click the Check Name button which will verify your User Name, as illustrated in Figure 9 below.

You may be prompted to enter your password at this point. If a dialog box appears as illustrated in Figure 10, then enter your Employee ID and password. The format to use is SDCS\emplid Click OK.
Figure 11 In Figure 11, click the “Finish” button to finish your successful setup of Outlook 2003. You are now ready to start Outlook 2003.

Figure 13 Figure 13 shows a typical Outlook 2003 window just after login. You may now use Outlook 2003 to send and receive messages.
