withdrawal in Inner Manipur PC Ninety seven constituencies,spread over 13 States andUnion Territories across thecountry, will go to polls in thisphase on the 18th of nextmonth. Elections will be held in all 39Parliamentary constituenciesin Tamil Nadu. Otherconstituencies where votingwill take place in this phase are14 in Karnataka; 10 inMaharashtra; eight in UttarPradesh; five each in Assam,Bihar and Odisha; three eachin Chhattisgarh and WestBengal; two in Jammu and

Kashmir; and one each inManipur, Tr ipura andPuducherry.In Jammu and Kashmir,nomination papers of all the14 candidates for theUdhampur-Doda Lok Sabhaconstituency were found validafter scrutiny on Wednesday.In Bihar, 19 nomination paperswere rejected and Seventypapers were found correct. InOdisha, 37 nominations forfive Lok Sabha constituenciesand 261 nominations forAssembly seats under themwere found valid.

Volunteers of CoalitionAgainst Drugs & Alcohol(CADA) seized labeled localbrew being so ld on openmarket at Lamphel area whileconducting dr ive againstillicit liquors.A press statement by CADAsaid that at around 11 amwhile conducting dr iveagainst illicit liquors atLamphel area near ShijaHospital Road close to theHome Guard Head Quarter,volunteers of the CADAfound Distilled Indigenouscountry liquor from a person.Pack country liquor bottlewith labeled “Chakpa Kallei”were seized from a vendorowned by one KonsamPanchamani, along with loselocal brew.The volunteers of the CADAdestroyed the seized liquorby burning at the spot.The CADA statement furthersaid that selling of labeled
