intelligent buoy provides sources of essential meteorological and
oceanographic data from remote and almost inaccessible ocean areas.
The intelligent buoy brings together Fendercare Marine and Strainstall
Marine’s combined market-leading capabilities. Fendercare’s Hippo Marine
division have been manufacturing buoys, including those used for data
acquisition purposes for over 30 years. The technology employed is a unique
shock-absorbing and virtually unsinkable combination of materials. Strainstall
Marine are the leading supplier of load, mooring and tension monitoring
equipment with over 45 years’ experience and have established themselves as
a key provider in measurement and data acquisition in the o�shore industry.
