Campus may be closed but learningcontinues virtually. Daily class schedulesare modified, gathering through chats, 

calls, and group meetings but providing consistency and stability we all need right

now. We are proud to continue ourmission to educate our students and

prepare them for academic success andresponsible, productive lives.

ADAPTABILITYSuccessful Transition

We were ready to shift to virtual learning and so were our students! While already

using virtual learning in certain subjects -it made for a smooth transition. Others

scrambled to come up with a plan but wewere able to pivot and be flexible. Our

team continues to learn new techniquesand modes of communication that best fit

our students needs.

COMMUNITYVirtual Gatherings

Staying connected is important and notjust for learning but for FUN! We continue

to hold Community Homeroom, haveathletic practices, offer game night,

daily workout sessions and Facebook LiveFamily Challenges. Our food service

provider, Flik, is preparing home-cookedmeals for families. School goes

beyond books, it's also the bond we have with each other.

ENGAGEMENTOpen to Everyone

During this time we have many initiativesthat make us proud to be part of GDS. Afaculty member is involved with a local

effort to make masks, using 3Dtechnology, for people on the front lines.

Students writing support letters tomedical staff, Lower School students

sending pictures of virtual hugs toessential workers. Even individuals

outside the GDS Community are welcometo take part in our efforts, classes, and

gatherings.

PEACE OF MINDFamiliarity & Connection

At Gaston Day we're family. We personallyknow our students, our parents, our

alumni, our grandparents, our donors,and prospective families that have

reached out to us. We're strong and we'rein this together. Let us be your rock
