Israel National Surveyof Anglos in Israel
September, 2020
This polling release and the data contained in it are the sole and exclusive property of The Anglo Vision. The publication, use or reproduction of the data is only with the permission of The Anglo Vision.
The AngloVision
Conducted exclusively for:
Methodology
• 421 respondents, no weight applied • Conducted online July 20 - August 30, 2020• Respondents were recruited via 59 Israeli Facebook
groups as well as advertisements on the Times of Israel and Jerusalem Post websites
• Language of contact: 100% English• Margin of error should be interpreted as if it were +/-
4.77% with confidence level of 95%• Stephan Miller and Chloe Yosha, Principal Analysts• One half of a percent (.5%) and higher is rounded up in
the presentation• First known political survey of Israel’s Anglo community
The AngloVision
Conducted exclusively for:
Defining “Anglos”
• To guarantee that we received responses ONLY from 17+ English-speaking Israelis that reside in Israel, we started the survey with filter questions. The First question asked:
1. Are you 17 years of age or older?2. Are you a citizen of the State of Israel?3. Do you currently reside in Israel?
• Respondents also had to fulfill at least one of these two requirements:– Be born in an Anglo country– Have one or more parents born in an Anglo country
• All respondents had to identify their level of English as Good, Very Good, High, Very High, Mother tongue, or Native
The AngloVision
Conducted exclusively for:
Key Findings• 75% of English-speaking Israelis identify themselves as part of the Anglo
community• Anglos have a similar ideological makeup to the general voting population: Half are
Right (49%), a quarter in the Center (25%) and another quarter on the Left (22%)• Yamina is the most supported party among Anglos (25%), double that of Likud
(13%)• Almost half of Right-wing Anglos (44%) would vote Yamina if elections were held
today• Anglos vote more on issues and policy (52%), rather than ideology (34%) and are
more concerned with economic and welfare issues• Anglos seek a more representative and responsive form of government• One in five (18%) believe a specifically Anglo representative or Anglo party would
allow them to have the most impact on the Israeli government • Only less than a third of Anglos believe that they should not organize amongst
themselves as a community• Newer Anglo immigrants (0-5 years in Israel) are more Right-wing, religious, and
care most about housing and integration issues
