INTENDED USE
The rivet spinner &chain breaker is used to break chain pitches and join chain loops.
Professional, the product acts on the type of chainsaw chain, making it demolition, recycling
and mining applications.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES

CAUTION: Do not allow persons to operate or assemble this Rivet Spinner &Chain
Breaker until they have read this manual and have developed a thorough understanding of
how the Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker works.
WARNING: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction
manual cannot cover all possible conditions or situations that could occur. It must be
understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into
this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
RIVET SPINNER&CHAIN BREAKER USE AND CARE
Do not modify the Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker in any way. Unauthorized modification
may impair the function and/or safety and could affect the life of the equipment. There are
specific applications for which the Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker was designed.
Always check of damaged or worn out parts before using the Rivet Spinner &Chain
Breaker. Broken parts will affect the Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker operation. If repairs are
needed, consult a qualified repairman.
Store idle Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker. When Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker is not in
use, store it in a secure place out of the reach of children. Inspect it for good working
condition prior to storage and before reuse.
Please ware the safety glasses before you use the Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker.
ASSEMBLY
· BENCH MOUNTING
Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker is equipped with two holes for mounting. Lag screws or bolts (not
supplied) may be used to hold the unit into position. (Illus A)
Mount Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker flush with side or front of bench area. (Mounting rivet spinner
flush to bench allows chains to clear for spinning.)
Rivet Spinner
· REPLACING SPINNER/ANVIL
Step1.To remove worn or damaged spinner/anvil, unscrew take-up handle until spinner anvil can be
removed easily.( Illus B)
Replace with new or correct anvil and take-up handle.
NOTE: Unit is supplied with two spinner anvil marked”A” ”B” and two take-up handles to match
spinner anvils.
OPERATION
Step1.Lay chain across plastic chain supports. (Illus C)
Step2.Rotate chain supports so that the rivet head is centered between the take-up handle pocket
and spinner anvil. (Illus C)
Step3.Turn take-up handle until chain is secured against spinner anvil. (Illus D)
Step4.Turn spinner crank a few times to center the rivet hub in the spinner anvil. (Illus E)
Step5.Apply a few drops of oil to rivet hub. (Illus F)
Step6.Turn spinner crank and at the same time, slowly turn take- up handle inward (approximately
one full revolution) until rivet head is formed. Take-up handle provides pressure while spinner anvil
forms rivet head. (Illus G)
CHAIN BREAKER
· RIGHT OR LEFT HAND USE
Chain break comes ready for right-handed use. If left-handed use is preferred, follow the
instructions
below.
Step1.Unscrew set screw and remove handle. (Illus b)
Step2.Remove plastic cap. with screwdriver, depress spring-loaded punch holder to free up cam.

Step3.Slide cam out right side of chain breaker unit.(Illus e)
Step4.Reinsert cam into opposite side of chain breaker unit. Depress punch holder and insert cam.

Step5.Replace plastic cap and reinsert handle. Tighten set screw with Allen wrench.
Step6.Remove stop pin from right side of unit and reinsert into left side.( Illus g)
· REPLACING PUNCH
Step1.To remove worn or damaged punch, loosen set screw with Allen wrench.( Illus h)
Step2.Insert new punch into punch holder(push punch up unit fully seated).Tighten set screw. (Illus
i)
· REPLACING BROKEN DRIVELINKS
(point of breakage usually occurs at or near the rivet hole.)
Step 1.To remove a cutter or the strap and half of broken drive link, join the two broken sections
back to the original position prior to breakage.( Illus p)
Step2.Center breaker punch over rivet head, pull handle down just enough to push rivet out. Repeat
with other rivet (do not use excessive force).
OPERATION
Step1. Insert chain portion to be broken into the slot of the adjustable anvil. (Illus j) Tighten
adjustment knob unit chain is securely positioned. Position cutter as shown. (Illus k)
Important:
It is not necessary to re-adjust anvil when breaking multiple loops of chain of the same chain type.
Step2. Position rivet head directly under punch and pull handle down just far enough to push rivet
out (do not use excessive force). (Illus i)
Note:
A. Important-when breaking chain at cutter, make sure cutter is in correct position.( Illus m)
B. For cutters with depth gauges as shown in(Illus n),make sure to position cutter properly as
shown in (Illus o)using the side of the adjustable anvil with the slot.
MAINTENANCE
• Maintain your Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker. It is recommended that the general condition of
any Rivet Spinner &Chain Breaker be examined before it is used. Keep your Rivet Spinner &
Chain Breaker in good repair by adopting a program of conscientious repair and maintenance.
Have necessary repairs made by qualified service personnel.
• This unit is equipped with oiling chambers and should be maintained periodically with a
lightweight oil. (Illus H)
